Ronnie O'Sullivan sings Oasis' 'Wonderwall' during bizarre interview

Snooker

Ronnie O'Sullivan sang lyrics from Oasis hit "Wonderwall" during a bizarre post-match interview.

O'Sullivan answered a series of routine questions with short answers after his 5-3 quarterfinal defeat to Judd Trump at the Players Championship in Llandudno on Wednesday.

Then, midway through the awkward BBC Wales interview, the 41-year-old started singing the Britpop cult classic.

Here is the interview in full:

Reporter: How frustrating was it, after you came back so well with that century break, to lose to Judd?

O'Sullivan: Very.

Reporter: What did you make of your own performance?

O'Sullivan: Decent.

Reporter: Judd, in fairness, seemed to pot a lot of balls from distance. What did you make of his performance?

O'Sullivan: Usual.

Reporter: He's a pretty talented player, isn't he?

O'Sullivan: Very.

Reporter: He's been in form this season.

O'Sullivan: Totally.

Reporter: So, how do you reflect on the match as a whole?

O'Sullivan: Don't know, really.

Reporter: You seemed to take a while to get going?

O'Sullivan: Maybe. [Singing] Maybe, there's gonna be the one that saves me. And after all, you're my wonderwall. What do you reckon of my lyrics, are they good? [laughs]

Reporter: So how do you look back at the tournament and what you've done here?

O'Sullivan: Try not to.

Reporter: So, on to the China Open. What are your thoughts looking ahead to that? And looking a bit further ahead of course to the World Championship.

O'Sullivan: Looking forward to it.
