Reanne Evans is two wins away from becoming the first female competitor in the World Championship, after a 10-8 upset victory over Robin Hull in qualifying. Evans, the No. 1 ladies player in the world, fell 5-1 behind to Hull, the world No. 57, but launched a stunning comeback at Pond's Forge in Sheffield. Evans will now face either two-time world finalist Matthew Stevens or Lee Walker in the next round. Evans, 31, has won the Ladies' World Championship a record 11 times, but lost last year's final to Ng On Yee, of Hong Kong.
