Arsenal coach Unai Emery has said he doesn't have an issue with Sven Mislintat, despite the head of recruitment appearing set to leave the club.
Emery, who says Arsenal can only afford to sign loan players in the transfer window, is said to have clashed with Mislintat and a source has told ESPN FC the 46-year-old will leave Arsenal after a series of disagreements over transfer strategy.
"Today the normality is working with him," Emery said. "I was working with him the last two weeks. We had two or three meetings and we are working normally. I don't know another different issue [with] him.
"My relationship with him for transfers in the last two or three weeks, we are speaking about that.
"This transfer window is not easy to take players that can help us with better performances than the players we have now. The club is working and I spoke with Sven about different possibilities with players.
"We are looking, the club is working with the possibility to loan players and if we can take for helping us in a different position on the team, then maybe we can."
Meanwhile, Emery said that Mesut Ozil will not be offloaded in January despite renewed speculation over the player's future.
Ozil has fallen out of favour under Emery at Arsenal, prompting reports he could leave in January or at the end of the season.
"I'm not thinking about that," Emery said when asked if he was looking to sell. "I'm thinking about how he can help us this year with good performances. He's had injuries and not been OK to play matches, but now after these two weeks maybe this Saturday will be okay for him."
Ozil has started two Premier League matches since November but is in contention to feature this weekend when Arsenal face Chelsea. Emery's side are fifth, six points behind Maurizio Sarri's men, and level on points with Manchester United in sixth.
Ahead of the match, Emery insisted there is no issue over Ozil's form or lack of match time.
"I like to create the same spirit for all, and that spirit is every players gets and gives consistent work and moments with their performances but it's not easy," Emery said.
"Sometimes you are better and sometimes you are worse. I'm working with every player in the same way. The most important thing for me is how he can help us and how every player can help us with their consistency."
