Spain's Sergio Suarez settled a thrilling contest as Port FC moved into joint sixth place in the Thai League (T1) table after beating Charyl Chappuis' 10-man Suphanburi 3-2 in Bangkok.
The former Las Palmas midfielder performed a starring role as the newly promoted Port Lions took advantage of Adul Lahso's red card to turn a 2-1 half-time deficit into a victory.
Chiang Rai United and champions Muang Thong United stay at top of the table, alongside the increasingly impressive Ubon UMT United, who defeated Ratchaburi 4-1.
Here are five things we saw on T1 Matchday Two:
1. Port show their spirit
Port FC's previous season in the top tier in 2015 was a shambolic affair, with five changes of head coach and relegation. Last season's campaign to gain promotion did not go as smoothly as expected, though the goal was eventually achieved.
The side from Klong Toey in central Bangkok have modest hopes for 2017, and only a last-gasp goal from Genki Nagasato earned them a point on Matchday One.
Things initially looked bleak on Sunday. After Andrija Kaluderovic had given the hosts an early lead, Suphanburi turned the match on its head, as Dellatorre's double gave the visitors a 2-1 advantage at the break.

But Adul's second yellow card left Suphanburi with 10 men, and a stunning strike from Tana Chanabut levelled the scores before Suarez struck the winner. The hosts survived a late scare as the War Elephant were denied what looked a clear penalty when substitute Diego Madrigal was bundled over in the box.
"We started well and got a goal before falling behind," Suarez told ESPN FC. "The important thing was how the team reacted. Everyone showed belief, and that is how we got the three points.
"Scoring the winning goal was the best feeling ever, but the most important thing was that we got the points."
Suphanburi's central midfielder Chappuis remained positive, despite the defeat.
"We started well, but we made one mistake, and conceded a goal," Chappuis told ESPN FC. "But our reaction, like last week when we went behind against Thai Honda, was good.
"We started the second half well, but missed a couple of chances and there was a stupid red card. Port FC pressed and they deserved to equalise. In the end, it got a little hectic and there should have been a clear penalty for us, but we now have to look forward to Ubon at home."
Chappuis believes that better times are ahead for his club after a disappointing 2016.
"Our president told us we fought well tonight and we are fitter than last year," said the Thai international. "Our preseason was really hard, and we can run 90 minutes if we want. We still have to find our best playing style, but we have some good players."
2. Brazilian Beetles keep Chiang Rai on top
Chiang Rai United's new Brazilian stars helped them earn their second victory on the trot with a 3-1 home win over Sisaket. Rafael Coelho's early strike put the Beetles ahead before Sisaket levelled through Denis Silva's close-range effort.
Coelho put the hosts back in front, but Leroy Lita was then handed the opportunity to open his account in Thai football when the visitors were awarded a penalty. But the former Swansea City striker blazed his spot kick over the bar before Felipe Azevedo slotted home a late third to seal victory for Alexandre Gama's side.
Chiang Rai now top the T1 table on goal difference from champions Muang Thong. Not too much should be read into home victories over Super Power Samut Prakan and Sisaket -- two sides who are expected to struggle at the wrong end of the table this season. However, with great expectations placed on the Beetles after a summer spending spree, six points out of six builds important confidence.
3. Thai Honda end misfiring Angels' unbeaten run
Bangkok United saw a 21-game unbeaten run in the Thai League come to an end as Sittichok Kannoo's late strike gave Thai Honda a 1-0 victory.
Last year's runners up had not suffered a league defeat since May 11, 2016 and it came in remarkably similar circumstances. Back then, the Bangkok Angels conceded an 86th-minute goal as they lost 1-0 away to lowly Navy FC. On Saturday, Sittochok's 85th-minute winner earned newly-promoted Thai Honda their first victory of the season after a 10-year absence from the top tier.
It has been an undistinguished start to the year for Mano Polking's side. Following an unexpected exit in the AFC Champions League qualifier to Johor Darul Ta'zim, Bangkok United struggled to a fortunate 1-0 win over Navy FC on Matchday One. Saturday's defeat was another indication that the fearsome attacking force that we saw last year has yet to click into gear.
Just one goal scored in the first two games is in stark contrast to the five netted in the first 180 minutes of 2016.
4. Fab four for Udon
Ubon UMT United followed up an impressive T1 debut win away to Sisaket with a 4-1 thrashing of Ratchaburi at home.
Scott Cooper's side join Muang Thong and Chiang Rai at the top of the table after a second victory. Victor Cardozo and Kornprom Jaroonpong gave the hosts a 2-0 half-time lead and Tiago Chulapa and Bajram Nebihi made it 4-0 after the break before Marcel Essombe pulled one back for the visitors.
While no one expects Ubon UMT to challenge for any of the big prizes on offer in Thailand, the first two games suggest that the side from the northeast will not struggle to stay in T1.

5. Victory comes at a cost for Kirins
Muang Thong United made it two wins out of two with a laboured 1-0 victory at home to Sukhothai, as the T1 launched Friday night football. The Kirins needed a fortuitous header from Naoaki Aoyama to defeat the team they had beaten 5-0 in the Thailand Champions Cup in January.
But the champions' victory was tarnished by the serious injury suffered by Sarach Yooyen. The midfielder was on the wrong end of an ugly challenge from behind by Pichit Jaibun and broke his ankle. Sarach is expected to be out for at least six months, ruling him out of Muang Thong's ACL group campaign and Thailand's World Cup qualifiers.
The loss of Sarach is compounded by the departure of striker Cleiton Silva who has joined Shanghai Shenxin in China. After they opened the season with a 4-0 victory at Bangkok Glass, everything looked set for a season of dominance by Muang Thong.
The events of the past week paint a different, less optimistic picture.
