Alexandre Lacazette to Liverpool, not Arsenal; Ronaldinho to Angola

The January transfer window has snapped shut with a number of high-profile moves put on ice until the summer. With that in mind, here are today's juiciest rumours about the biggest deals set to happen at the end of the season ...

TOP STORY: Liverpool to beat Arsenal for Lacazette

Lyon's deadly French it-man Alexandre Lacazette will be taking his talents to Liverpool, not Arsenal, in the Summer transfer window, says the Express.

The 23-year-old forward is one of Europe's hottest commodities and has already contributed 21 goals and five assists this campaign for Ligue 1 leaders Lyon.

Reports have indicated the race for the pacey Ace is between the Reds and the Gunners. But it looks as if Arsene Wenger & Co. won't have the negotiating firepower to land the in-demand French international. Move over Mario Balotelli.

Manchester United and Chelsea to do battle for Bastian

Bayern Munich and Germany midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has the Premier League big boys "on alert" after suggesting he could be prepared to leave the Bundesliga this summer, with Manchester United and Chelsea being the most interested in his services, according to The Guardian.

The 2014 World Cup champ, who made his senior Bayern debut way back in 2002, could be in search of a change in scenery, according to the outlet, and two of the Prem's usual well-heeled suspects are keen on having him in their side.

Real Madrid to snatch Danilo from under Barca's nose?

Real Madrid have sent a team of negotiators to Porto in hopes of landing Brazil international right-back Danilo ahead of eternal rivals Barcelona, who despite a transfer ban have targeted the former Santos man, says Marca.

The 23-year-old attack-minded back who reminds many of Barca's Dani Alves won't come cheap, with an estimated price tag of around 20 million pounds, and Porto president Pinto da Costa is known to make interested clubs work hard for a signature from one of his players.

Real, however, feel they have an advantage with this particular negotiation: Danilo, whose contract runs out in the summer of 2016, has opted not to ink a new deal, which Real hopes will pave the way for a move to the Bernabeu.

Ronaldinho to ... Angola?

According to a Globo.com report, two-time World Player of the Year award winner Ronaldinho is on his way to a most unlikely destination: Angola.

In an interview with Angolan public television, Kabuscorp club president Bento Kangamba reportedly guaranteed the arrival of the Brazilian trickster once the ex-Barca man's contract with Mexican club Queretaro, with whom he currently plays, ends in June.

"It's a certainty," said Kangamba. "We are negotiating, but Ronaldinho has to finish his contract with his current team and then he can join us in June."

Incredibly, Ronaldinho would not be the first former World Player of the Year to lace up for Kabuscorp. Brazilian legend Rivaldo played one season for the club back in 2012.
