Santi Cazorla's Villarreal unveiling storms social media after stunning smoke show

After being released by Arsenal a few months ago, Santi Cazorla spent the summer working his way back to fitness and attempting to earn a contract with former club Villarreal.

It was then announced at the beginning of June that the 33-year-old had done enough to convince the Yellow Submarine to sign him up despite having not played a competitive game for over two years due to a chronic tendon injury.

So, it was left to Villarreal to unveil their new man on Thursday and, playing on Cazorla's "Little Magician" nickname, the club decided to formally welcome him back on board in fitting fashion.

As such, an "illusionist" was employed along with a large glass tube full of dry ice, which was used to spirit Cazorla from thin air.

The ceremony was simultaneously brilliant and massively ridiculous -- which we assume is exactly the effect Villarreal were going for.
