Transfer Rater: Steven Bergwijn to Manchester United, Lucas Paqueta to Liverpool

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the Whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.

Nathaniel Clyne to Leicester

The Foxes are reportedly considering a January approach for the Liverpool right-back due to concerns in the position, according to the Leicester Mercury. Original first-choice Ricardo Pereira has been pushed into a more advanced role due to concerns over his defending, leaving Daniel Amartey as the incumbent, but the Ghanaian is a midfielder. With Danny Simpson out in the cold under Claude Puel, Clyne represents an experienced and common-sense solution having fallen down the pecking order at Anfield.

Steven Bergwijn to Manchester United

United are reported to be among a trio of Premier League clubs showing an interest in PSV Eindhoven winger Bergwijn. Liverpool and Tottenham, plus Serie A sides Inter and AC Milan are also keen on the 21-year-old, who can play on either flank and has scored four goals with four assists in the Eredivisie this season. Sport claim the Dutchman has a release clause of just £17.5 million and reports in Italy insist Inter have already made contact with Bergwijn's representatives.

Stefan Savic to Juventus

Italian champions Juventus have prioritised a centre-back for their transfer strategy next summer and Savic is one of the Bianconeri's leading targets, says Calciomercato. Savic is out of contract at Atletico Madrid in 2020 and, with no sign of a renewal on the horizon, Juve are ready to make a move for the Montenegro international, who has Serie A experienced having played for Fiorentina.

Lucas Paqueta to Liverpool

The agent of Paqueta has reportedly been spotted in Liverpool, enhancing the claims the Reds will spend £27m on the Flamengo attacking midfielder in January. Globo Esporte has revealed that Flamengo will make the 21-year-old available to be transferred in the new year, with his agent Eduardo Uram already holding talks with AC Milan. Paqueta was called up to the Brazil squad last month and has also been linked with Barcelona, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.

Cengiz Under to Bayern Munich

Bayern have reportedly identified Roma winger Under as a long-term alternative to veteran wide-men Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery. Calciomercato had originally claimed Bayern were prepared to spend £52m on the 22-year-old Turkey international, and that interest has since been confirmed by Under's agent. Arsenal and Manchester City have also been linked with Under, who joined Roma from Basaksehir in 2017 for just £11.5m.
