Barcelona's Arthur, Napoli's Allan named in Tite's Brazil squad for November friendlies

Napoli midfielder Allan is the one new face in Brazil's squad for November friendlies against Uruguay and Cameroon, with Barcelona's in-form Arthur also earning another call-up from manager Tite.

The 27-year-old Allan was called up for the first time in a squad that also includes Guangzhou Evergrande midfielder Paulinho, who returns to the international set-up after the World Cup, and only one domestic player, Cruzeiro centre-half Dede.

Barcelona midfielder Arthur, a standout player in his team's mid-week win against Inter Milan in the Champions League, was brought back into the team by the former Corinthians boss.

Tite opted to forego home-based players, many of whom have a chance at winning either Brazil's Serie A or the Copa Libertadores. Cruzeiro are not in contention for either honour.

Allan, who has played for Udinese, Granada and Vasco da Gama in Brazil, was included by Tite after reportedly peaking the interest of Italian coach Roberto Mancini.

"I should have called him up earlier," Tite told reporters, adding that his assistant Sylvinho had been pressuring him to make the call. "He's here because he deserves to be."

Brazil take on Uruguay at the Emirates stadium in London on Nov. 16 before facing Cameroon at Millwall's MK Stadium four days later.
