Ayub Masika scores two as Beijing Renhe draw Tianjin Quanjian

Tianjin Quanjian threw away a two-goal lead before salvaging a late point as they fought to a 3-3 draw with Beijing Renhe in the Chinese Super League on Sunday.

Goals from Wang Xiaolong and Alexandre Pato put Tianjin in charge of the game after 35 minutes but a strong second-half showing allowed Renhe to take control.

Ayub Masika's double, scored either side of a Makhete Diop penalty, saw Renhe turn the game around, only for Liu Jian's red card with 11 minutes remaining to throw Tianjin a late lifeline.

They made the most of their numerical advantage during the closing minutes as China international striker Yang Xu capitalised on a defensive error to seal a share of the points.

"This draw is good for us," Tianjin manager Paulo Sousa said. "What is important about this game is that we should play like we did in the last 25 minutes, when we tried our best to take any slim chance. Our efforts were there to be seen. The players played very hard."

The draw was Tianjin's third game in a row without a win and leaves them in eighth place, 14 points adrift of leaders Beijing Guoan, who retained their place with a 3-1 win over Jiangsu Suning on Friday.

Graziano Pelle and Diego Tardelli were on target for second-place Shandong Luneng in their 2-0 win over Chongqing Lifan, and Wu Lei and Hulk scored for Shanghai SIPG, who defeated city rivals Shanghai Shenhua 2-0 to remain in third.

Seven-time champions Guangzhou Evergrande slipped to their first defeat since the post-World Cup resumption at the hands of Changchun Yatai on Saturday.

Changchun took the lead through Yu Rui before Yang Liyu and Ricardo Goulart put Evergrande ahead.

But two goals in the final six minutes from Tan Long sealed a 3-2 win for Changchun that leaves Evergrande six points off the pace with a game in hand.

Former Wales manager Chris Coleman secured the first victory of his tenure at Hebei China Fortune as a goal from Dong Xuesheng was enough to earn a 1-0 win over bottom side Guizhou Zhicheng, and Dalian Yifang moved out of the relegation zone with a 3-0 victory over Guangzhou R&F on Friday.

Nyasha Mushekwi scored a hat trick to move Dalian up to 14th in the 16-team league with Chongqing falling into the drop zone.

Frank Acheampong scored his 12th goal of the season for Tianjin Teda as they defeated Henan Jianye 2-0.
