LIVERPOOL -- The Premier League season is over and Mohamed Salah has created an unbelievable amount of history in that time.

Salah breaks Liverpool's transfer record

Having very nearly joined Liverpool, instead of Chelsea, in the winter of 2014, Salah eventually arrived at Anfield last summer from Roma for an initial fee of £36.9 million, which was a club-record transfer fee at the time.

August

Scoring on his Premier League debut

Salah's goal at Vicarage Road on the opening day of the season led to him becoming the 12th different player to score on his Premier League debut for Liverpool.

Salah wins Liverpool's player of the month

Three goals in five appearances during his first month on Merseyside saw Liverpool fans vote Salah the club's best player for the month of August.

First Egyptian to score on UCL debut for two clubs

Having scored against Chelsea for Basel in 2013, Salah achieved this feat when he put past Sevilla at Anfield (qualifiers excluded).

The second-quickest to score five Prem goals

Only Robbie Fowler had scored more goals than Salah in their first nine Premier League appearances for Liverpool after the latter's goal against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley. Fowler got to five goals in eight games; Salah and Dirk Kuyt reached the mark in their ninth.

Salah's penalty sends Egypt to World Cup

Salah had the pressure of a nation on his shoulders before he converted an injury-time spot kick to help Egypt beat Congo 2-1 to secure their place at Russia 2018, a first appearance at the finals since 1990.

Salah's second goal in a contest with Southampton at Anfield bettered Fowler's achievement of eight goals in his first 12 Premier League games back in 1993.

Salah's stunning, curling effort in the Merseyside derby on Dec. 10 was his 19th in 24 appearances in all competitions. (He had 19 goals in 41 appearances for Roma in 2016-17.)

He beats Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Naby Keita, Sadio Mane and Victor Moses to the award.

Twenty goals before Christmas

Scoring in the 4-0 win at Bournemouth on Dec. 17, Salah becomes the first Premier League player to have scored 20 times in all competitions during the 2017-18 season. He was the first player to do it for Liverpool since Ian Rush in 1986.

Equals Roger Hunt's record

The forward's double against Leicester City now sees him share a record with World Cup-winner Hunt, who netted 23 goals in a season before New Year in the 1961-62 season.

Dejan Lovren is the only other Liverpool player to have won the award by this stage of the season.

His first goal in the thrilling draw with Tottenham at Anfield led to the former Roma and Fiorentina player surpassing Fernando Torres and Sturridge in this regard.

Overtakes Mido as highest-scoring Egyptian

Salah's double against Spurs took his total number of goals scored in the Premier League to 23 -- having recorded two of those as a Chelsea player -- to beat Mido's tally of 22 during his spells at Tottenham, Middlesbrough and Wigan Athletic.

Second-fastest Liverpool player to 30 goals

Salah's composed finish in the 5-0 win at Porto in a round-of-16 Champions League tie brought up goal No. 30 after just 36 appearances. Allan is the only other Liverpool player to better that.

Left-footed goals record

His goal against West Ham United was the 20th occasion in 2017-18 that Salah had scored in the Premier League with his left foot, surpassing Fowler's 19 left-footed strikes in 1994-95.

Prem player of the month a second time

His four Premier League goals and two assists in the month of February is recognised ahead of six other nominees, including Sergio Aguero and Chelsea's Hazard.

Club's player of the month a fifth time

He scored in all four of Liverpool's fixtures during February.

Salah netted four times Saturday during Liverpool's 5-0 victory over Watford at Anfield.

Salah got to 40 in 45 games, while it took George Allan 49, Jack Parkinson 60, Robbie Fowler 61 and Daniel Sturridge 65.

Most games scored in a Premier League season

Salah's header against Bournemouth was the 22nd league game he had scored in this season, overtaking Cristiano Ronaldo and Robin van Persie's previous record of 21.

He collects this honour for the seventh time in the season.
