U.S. women's national team members go hotel caroling ahead of the holidays

We all know 'tis the season for gifts, gathering with friends and family, and celebrating the holidays in whatever way one sees fit. And for a few U.S. women's national teamers, it also is time to serenade some of their teammates with a few carols.

On Thursday, the team's official Twitter account posted a tweet that showed Mallory Pugh, Emily Sonnett, Rose Lavelle and Sam Mewis -- who was dressed as Will Ferrell's character Buddy from the movie "Elf" -- singing some of the season's favorites.

The "fab four" surprised teammates -- including Alex Morgan and Allie Long -- at the team hotel in Lisbon by belting out several carols while they were there for a November friendly against Portugal.

Morgan even spotted Mewis as Buddy but recommended the foursome keep working on their singing. Luckily for the carolers, they still had six weeks to go until Christmastime.
