Lithuania boss Igoris Pankratjevas quits straight after England loss

Lithuania boss Igoris Pankratjevas resigned immediately after his side concluded their Euro 2016 qualification campaign with a home defeat to England.

Pankratjevas, who was made Lithuania head coach in 2013, saw his side finish second bottom of Group E, ahead of only San Marino, after Monday's 3-0 loss to England.

Pankratjevas wasted no time in making his decision, declaring that he was stepping down from his role in his postmatch news conference, before then walking out.

Lithuania picked up three wins during their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign, defeating San Marino twice and Estonia, while they also drew with Slovenia.
