Mexico international Jesus Gallardo has sealed a move from Pumas to Monterrey, the clubs confirmed on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old winger -- who usually plays more as a left-back for the national team -- has 21 caps for El Tri and is expected to be in Mexico's 23-player squad for the World Cup.
Gallardo had come through Pumas' youth system and there had been rumors that the left-footed player could leave Mexico for Europe.

"Rayados, Chivas and others have been rumored, but we are waiting for an offer from Europe after the World Cup and, if not, I'll be happy and committed to whatever team it may be," Gallardo said earlier this month.
Gallardo made his Mexico debut in October 2016 and went 90 minutes for El Tri in its 0-0 draw against Wales in Pasadena on Monday.
Monterrey brought in Uruguayan Diego Alonso as coach ahead of the 2018 Apertura, with Antonio Mohamed leaving for Celta de Vigo.
