Sevilla have completed the signing of Munir El Haddadi from Barcelona for a fee of around €1 million.
Munir, 23, was out of contract in the summer and could have left Barca for free at the end of the season with no compensation for the club.
Barca had offered the forward a new deal but sources close to the player confirmed to ESPN FC that he did not want to extend his terms.
That decision did not go down well with the Catalan club, who then told Munir he would not play for the club again.
Coach Ernesto Valverde admitted earlier this week that "it would be for the best" if Barca were able to cash in on him this month.
Sevilla were always the favourites to land the once-capped Spain international after it became clear he would not extend his stay at Barca.
There was also interest from Italy and England, including Premier League side Wolves, sources confirmed.
Munir, who made his first-team debut under Luis Enrique in 2014, scored 12 goals in 56 appearances for Barca. However, he had started just four games this season after returning from a successful loan spell at Alaves last year.
His exit, coupled with Paco Alcacer's move to Borussia Dortmund earlier this season, leaves Luis Suarez as the only recognised centre forward at Barcelona.
Valverde's admitted the club may have to bring in backup for the Uruguayan striker before the end of the month.
The La Liga leaders have been combing the market for a long-term backup to Suarez for a several months now, with Krzysztof Piatek, Nicolas Pepe and Luka Jovic all checked out.
Sources have also confirmed to ESPN FC that Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata has been offered to the club.
Sevilla also announced an agreement with Ajax to sign 20-year-old Austria defender Max Wober.
