Trinidad and Tobago sack coach Stephen Hart after two recent defeats

Trinidad and Tobago sacked coach Stephen Hart on Thursday after the national team lost their opening two World Cup qualifiers in the final round in CONCACAF.

The Carribbean nation lost 2-0 at home to Costa Rica on Nov. 11 and 3-1 away to Honduras four days later to begin the "Hexagonal" round.

The Soca Warriors are only above the United States on goal difference at the bottom of the group, with U.S. boss Jurgen Klinsmann also losing his position earlier this week.

Hart, formerly the manager of Canada, had managed his native country since 2013.

A federation statement said: "President David John-Williams, on behalf of the TTFA, thanks Mr. Hart for his services over the past three years and wishes him every success in his future endeavours.

"Mr. John-Williams confirms that the announcement of a new Head Coach for the TTFA Senior National Men's Team will be made in the shortest possible time."
