CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- Chattanooga coach Jim Foster has received a two-year extension to a contract that now runs through the 2020-21 season.
Foster, a member of the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame, is 58-8 at Chattanooga and has reached the NCAA tournament in each of his two seasons. The Mocs are undefeated in Southern Conference play under Foster.
The coach said in a university release Tuesday that he's "happy to be in a great place, a great city with great people."
Chattanooga went 29-4 this past season and defeated Tennessee and Stanford, the school's first two victories over top-10 opponents. The Mocs lost 51-40 to Pittsburgh in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
Foster, 66, owns a career record of 841-315 in 37 seasons at St. Joseph's, Vanderbilt, Ohio State and Chattanooga.
