Big 12 recruiting scorecard: Big ESPN 300 win for Sooners

Here's what's new on the Big 12 recruiting trail with less than 50 days before signing day:

BAYLOR

Total commits: 19

ESPN 300 commits: 8

The latest: Baylor made the top four for one of the top uncommitted defensive linemen in Texas, three-star Allen DE Levi Onwuzurike. He's down to BU, Arizona State, Michigan and Washington. The Bears have just one defensive end pledge, from three-star Micheal Johnson.

IOWA STATE

Total commits: 15

ESPN 300 commits: 0

The latest: The Cyclones' latest commitments came from junior college CB Thadd Daniels, who signed and will enroll in January, and DE Eyioma Uwazurike. The defensive lineman hails from Michigan and had previously committed to coach Matt Campbell's staff at Toledo.

KANSAS

Total commits: 13

ESPN 300 commits: 0

The latest: The Jayhawks' top-rated commit, ATH Maciah Long, had himself a good weekend. Long led North Shore to a victory in his state championship game, rushing for 82 yards and two scores including the game-winner in overtime. Long plays quarterback at North Shore but might project best as a linebacker for KU.

KANSAS STATE

Total commits: 12

ESPN 300 commits: 0

The latest: The Wildcats locked up an important piece for 2016 on junior college signing day in Blinn C.C. three-star Abdul Beecham. He's ESPN's No. 9-rated junior college offensive guard and chose the Wildcats over Fresno State and Iowa State. Beecham will join ESPN JC 50 WR Byron Pringle in enrolling early.

OKLAHOMA

Total commits: 14

ESPN 300 commits: 4

The latest: Oklahoma landed a huge commitment last week from ESPN 300 DT Chris Daniels. The No. 121 overall ranked recruit made his decision on his birthday, and it wasn't an easy decision. Daniels chose the Sooners over Michigan and Alabama and became OU's top-rated pledge.

OKLAHOMA STATE

Total commits: 18

ESPN 300 commits: 0

The latest: The Pokes' class has taken some tough hits in the past few months but did add a new commit last week from three-start Minnesota OT Matt Kegel. A new target has emerged at quarterback, too. After Oklahoma State offered two-star QB Keondre Wudtee, he decommitted from Louisiana Tech and set up an official visit to Stillwater for January.

TCU

Total commits: 18

ESPN 300 commits: 4

The latest: TCU losing ESPN 300 ATH D'Eriq King last week raised a question: Do the Frogs need another quarterback pledge for 2016? They already have three-star Brennen Wooten, who had a productive senior year and will enroll early, and Kenny Hill will be eligible soon. Still, the Frogs are reportedly showing new interest in Wudtee as well.

TEXAS

Total commits: 12

ESPN 300 commits: 2

The latest: Texas is bringing in an intriguing (and brilliantly named) prospect for an official visit in January: ATH Lil'Jordan Humphrey. He's nearly 6-foot-5 but played running back for Southlake Carroll and could thrive in a variety of roles at the next level. Humphrey is taking his visit to Texas on Jan. 15 with teammate and four-star UT commit Obi Eboh.

TEXAS TECH

Total commits: 26

ESPN 300 commits: 0

The latest: Texas Tech has been loading up on offensive linemen in this class and could end up taking one more if OT Yasir Durant picks the Red Raiders. The three-star lineman from Philadelphia has a top three of TTU, Rutgers and San Diego State and could schedule an official visit to Lubbock soon.

WEST VIRGINIA

Total commits: 22

ESPN 300 commits: 1

The latest: The Mountaineers have to be liking their chances right now for three-star New Jersey TE Jovani Haskins. He took his official visit to Morgantown right before the dead period began and might have WVU as his frontrunner now in a top four with Virginia Tech, North Carolina and Pitt.
