Even though Big 12 media days will be remembered for controversial statements and the conference's decision to explore expansion, plenty of fun was had during the two days in Dallas.
Here's a look at some of the best moments, quotes and images during Big 12 media days:
Here we go. Mike Gundy, his mullet, and #OKstate players begin their breakout session https://t.co/lCsUdywQcP

Mike Gundy's "mullet" was the talk of Big 12 media days Monday. Oklahoma State's head coach insisted it was not a mullet and told Kyle Fredrickson of The Oklahoman that the hairstyle was a result of his son Gage trying to get him to cut his hair, and Gundy deciding not to -- just to mess with his son. Either way, James Washington supplied the best name for the hairstyle.
Oklahoma State WR James Washington told me that coach Mike Gundy's mullet is nicknamed "The Arkansas Waterfall." So there's that.

One of the best moments was Kansas coach David Beaty, the son of a Dallas police officer, opening his news conference by paying tribute to the fallen Dallas officers.
Kansas coach David Beaty is son of former Dallas cop. Says nation could learn a lot from college teams on how to come together.

Beaty believes college football can play an important role in the changing some of the recent problems in the nation.
"I believe that college football can be an example in the midst of our struggles in America," he said. "Young men from all walks of life, different backgrounds coming together, listening to one another, working hard together, learning from one another, fighting together for a common goal."
Elsewhere, a mascot dance party broke out in the lobby:

The solo competition went to the TCU Horned Frog, by a landslide.

Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops had a gem of a response when asked about his statue.
Bob Stoops asked where his statue is, "If it's not going down the highway I don't know where it is!" #Sooners

In case you forgot, a statue of Stoops showed up unexpectedly in Norman last year, prompting the question this week.
Last but not least, a wardrobe malfunction resulted in Baylen Brown showing up at Big 12 media days in jeans before a seamstress saved the day, allowing the Texas Tech lineman to finish in the event in style.
