MOUNT PROSPECT, Ill. -- Every day at Chicago Bears training camp is about the quarterbacks. There’s still not a full-blown quarterback controversy -- Mike Glennon remains No. 1 on the depth chart -- but plenty of intrigue surrounds Glennon (still a relative unknown), Mark Sanchez (former high-profile starter) and Mitchell Trubisky (No. 2 overall pick of the 2017 NFL draft).

Here's a closer look at their day Thursday:

Mike Glennon

Wow moment: Glennon strung together a handful of impressive throws in one of Thursday night’s final 11-on-11 drills. Glennon’s best moment of practice came when he sold a fake handoff right, then bootlegged outside the pocket to his left. Despite throwing across his body, Glennon fired a perfect pass to tight end Zach Miller, who was streaking toward the left sideline. Glennon also completed back-to-back balls to Kevin White in the same drill.

Mitchell Trubisky

Wow moment: Trubisky stood out in Chicago’s red zone drill, firing touchdown passes on consecutive throws. On Trubisky’s first touchdown, he stood tall in the pocket and waited for tight end Ben Braunecker to come open over the middle. Next, Trubisky connected with Daniel Braverman, who promptly spiked the football to the delight of the 4,713 fans in attendance at Prospect High School.

Whoa moment: Trubisky threw an errant pass behind Tanner Gentry, who unsuccessfully tried to turn and catch the ball in 7-on-7. Had that been a real game, Gentry would’ve been knocked out.

Mark Sanchez

Wow moment: Sanchez looked good in the red zone drill, targeting wide receiver Titus Davis on a pair of completions. Sanchez’s best throw was a quick fade to Davis, who make a spectacular grab over a defender in the back left corner of the end zone. Davis appeared to land out of bounds, but Bears offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains enthusiastically signaled touchdown -- the Bears did not have any officials working the practice.
