CINCINNATI -- When the doors to the Cincinnati Bengals' locker room opened for the first time this season on Friday, A.J. Green wasn’t hard to find.' He was standing at his locker just like other Cincinnati veterans on the eve of the start of the team’s first training camp under new coach Zac Taylor. Green, one of the top wide receivers in the NFL, is entering the final year of his current contract. But while others in similar positions are holding out at the start of their camps, Green didn’t appear to be worried about the lack of a new contract. “I just come here to play football,” said Green, who will be 31 on Wednesday. “I’m grateful to be mentioned for an extension going into my third deal. It’s a blessing for me. A lot of people can’t say that they’ve got three contracts in this league.” The fourth overall pick in the 2011 draft played in a career-low nine games last season while he battled foot injuries. He made a full recovery this offseason, started working out in February and participated in June’s minicamp. On Tuesday, the Bengals gave fourth-year receiver Tyler Boyd a four-year contract extension that is worth $43 million, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Green said he isn’t watching other contract negotiations as he prepares for his ninth season in the league, all with Cincinnati. “I'll let my agent and (the Bengals) work the situation out,” Green said. “I love being here. But you never know. I feel like everything will work itself out.”
