ALLEN PARK, Mich. -– Matthew Stafford is leaving the Detroit Lions -- and with it, he and his wife, Kelly, have put their Michigan mansion back on the market.

The Bloomfield Hills home is being listed for $6.5 million, the same asking price as in May, when the Staffords first listed the house. They then pulled it off the market in September during football season.

Now, with Stafford requesting a trade, the house is for sale again. The ad for the house even recognizes that the Staffords are moving away.

“Detroit is sad to say goodbye to Kelly & Matthew Stafford, but Michigan’s most magnificent estate is awaiting the ultimate entertainer,” the listing reads.

The 7,720-square-foot house has five bedrooms, five full bathrooms and two half-bathrooms and sits on a lake. The entire property is 1.27 acres and has some eye-popping amenities, including an indoor half-court basketball court with an NBA-used Detroit Pistons floor, a 625-bottle wine cellar, a glass elevator and what’s described as the largest infinity pool in Michigan.

There also are hot-and-cold plunge baths, a sauna and a steam room.

Over the years, Kelly Stafford has shown off parts of her home -- and the views from her home -- in the background of her Instagram stories and videos.

When the Staffords first put the house on the market, Kelly took to Instagram to explain why they were selling their property.

“I personally do not want to live on a lake or have a pool with four children under the age of a little over 3,” she said. “So that is the reason that it is on the market. It makes us super sad. That house has been incredible. We’ll never own another house like it.

“So it is a super sad thing but it just makes us feel better knowing there are no real dangers of having tiny ones running around all the bodies of water. So that is the reason.”

Now the Staffords are selling for a clear other reason. Likely by March, they will have a new city to live in as the Lions are seeking trade offers for their starting quarterback beginning this week.
