RTC: Xavier Su'a-Filo sees real playing time

Reading the coverage of the Houston Texans...

The Texans drafted guard Xavier Su'a-Filo with the first pick of the second round, and on Sunday he got his most significant playing time, playing 10 snaps. The moment when Su'a-Filo's coaches told him he'd enter the game was awesome, Su'a-Filo said, writes Dave Zangaro of CSNHouston.com. Asked if it was a decision based on Ben Jones' health (he was on the injury report with a knee issue) or if it was a "football decision," Texans coach Bill O'Brien said it was a "football decision."

Sean Pendergast of the Houston Press says this weekend's game marked the first in a while that had important implications for a variety of reasons. One of those is that the Texans are tied atop the AFC South with this week's opponent -- the Indianapolis Colts. Pendergast's four winners: 4) Dez Bryant, 3) Andre Hal, 2) Traveling Texans, 1) Arian Foster. He also lists four losers from the football weekend.

O'Brien began his press conference thanking Texans fans for their presence in Arlington, writes John McClain of the Houston Chronicle. The Cowboys had to go to a silent count.

The Colts defense is making progress, writes Michael Marot of the Associated Press. They'd like to change their image as a team that relies on its offense. "We're getting pressure on the quarterback, we're getting sacks, we're getting turnovers, and our run defense has been great," Pagano said Monday, less than 24 hours after the defense played its best game of the season. "The schemes, the plans are really good. Guys are executing those plans."
