KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Chiefs won't play many starters or key reserves in Thursday night's final preseason game against the Green Bay Packers at Arrowhead Stadium. But somebody has to play for the Chiefs.

On offense, here are some players to watch for:

Quarterback: With Alex Smith and Nick Foles sitting out, Tyler Bray will start and this game will be his big preseason showcase. Bray played in the exhibition opener against the Seahawks, but was slammed headfirst to the turf on his next-to-last snap and injured his neck. He hasn't played in a game since, so the Chiefs may want to give him more work than any of the other two quarterbacks scheduled to play, Aaron Murray and Kevin Hogan.

Running back: Judging from how the Chiefs went through practice on Tuesday, Jamaal Charles, Spencer Ware and Charcandrick West won't play. That would leave all the work for Darren Reaves and Knile Davis. If the Chiefs are serious about trading Davis, as reports suggest, they won't subject him to the physical pounding of a lot of playing time. So Reaves could spend a lot of time as the featured back.

Wide receiver: Rookie Demarcus Robinson should be the player at this position who gets the most snaps. The fourth-round draft pick looks like he will make the regular-season roster but won't play much if at all then. Frankie Hammond Jr., De'Anthony Thomas and Tyreek Hill should also get a lot of work.

Tight end: Travis Kelce won't play and Demetrius Harris might not, either. That leaves the work for Ross Travis, Brian Parker and James O'Shaughnessy.

Offensive line: The Chiefs have 12 offensive linemen on their roster and not by coincidence. The Chiefs have seven linemen who look to be locks to make the roster, the five starters plus Zach Fulton and Jah Reid. That leaves five to play the majority of snaps against the Packers: Jordan Devey, Reid Fragel, Daniel Munyer, Jarrod Pughsley and Zach Sterup.
