The Philadelphia 76ers will play their final preseason game on Friday and it's likely the last chance for the players on the roster bubble to impress head coach Brett Brown and general manager Sam Hinkie. From Tom Moore of The Intelligencer:
- "Forward
- (right foot) and guard
- (sprained right ankle) will miss Friday's game after sitting out Thursday's workout. Wilbekin, a point guard, is among the Sixers on the bubble. The others -- including point guards
- and
- , shooting guards
- and
- , and forward
- (who missed the last two games) -- have one last chance to make their case for staying. The Sixers must trim the roster from 20 to 15 by Monday afternoon. ... Brown said he believes he's seen fairly enough of Wilbekin to judge the 2014-15 SEC Player of the Year at Florida. ...
- singled out McConnell and Wood. 'Some guys have turned the corner,' Noel said."
Out of that group, Wilbekin, McConnell and Wood may be the safest to earn a spot on the opening night roster.
