The Orlando Magic, according to Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel, have struck a deal that will send backup point guard Shabazz Napier to the Portland Trail Blazers for cash considerations.

The Magic have agreed to terms with Denver Nuggets free agent D.J. Augustin and the deal will be finalized Thursday. Magic GM Rob Hennigan has looked at shipping out Napier as he would have been fourth on the point guard depth chart behind Elfrid Payton, C.J. Watson and Augustin.

Napier has a chance to stay with the Blazers as Damian Lillard is currently the only true point guard under contract.

Napier played in 55 games last season and averaged 3.7 points and 1.8 assists.
