Rumor Central: Who will start at small forward for Raptors?

Training camps have opened around the NBA and Toronto Raptors head coach Dwane Casey will need a few weeks to determine who will start at small forward.

"I've talked to both CJ Miles and Norman Powell. It could be either one," Casey told the Toronto Star. "Delon Wright may see some minutes at the three because he's a versatile young man. Bruno [Caboclo] gives you a standstill shooter. So we’re going to look at a lot of different attributes for that position, and then who fits with the second unit."

Casey will likely choose between Miles, signed as a free agent from the Indiana Pacers, and Powell, who has impressed during his first two years in the NBA when given extended time on the floor. For his part, Miles said he doesn't care if he starts or comes off the bench.

"I think we go through camp and we push each other and make each other better through competition, but I don’t get paid for that part," Miles said. "I get paid to do what I'm told by the person that makes that decision."

The Raptors' staring lineup when the regular season tips off will include Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan, Serge Ibaka, Jonas Valanciunas and either Miles or Powell.
