K'Lavon Chaisson selects LSU

Defensive end K'Lavon Chaisson, the 34th-ranked player in the ESPN 300, committed to LSU over the in-state Texas Longhorns.

The 6-foot-4, 217-pound edge-rusher from Houston's North Shore High School, is the fourth-ranked defensive end in the ESPN 300.

Chaisson built strong relationships with LSU head coach Ed Orgeron and Texas head coach Tom Herman over the last few years, but in the end, Orgeron won out.

With the commitment of Chaisson, the Tigers now have 15 ESPN 300 signees/commits. Safety Todd Harris and linebacker Tyler Taylor are the other ESPN 300 defenders who gave their pledges to the Tigers on Wednesday.
