EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The New York Giants have been practicing at training camp for a week. That has made it possible to piece together a depth chart.
Here's the offense (Defense will be posted Saturday):
Quarterback
No surprises here. It's not going to change, either.
Running back
Rashad Jennings/Shane Vereen
Marshaun Coprich
Jennings and Vereen are 1A and 1B, as they fill different roles. Williams has been the first choice in short-yardage situations and sneaks in with the first team at other points. Perkins is a rookie with plenty to prove. Rainey and Coprich have their work cut out for them.
Fullback
He is in the backfield when the Giants use a natural fullback.
H-Back
It's almost as if Johnson plays a completely different position than Whitlock. He's been used all over the formation as a pseudo-tight end.
Tight end
Jerrell Adams
It's a three-man rotation with the first team for Donnell, Tye and LaCosse. Adams and Malleck are clearly behind.
Wide receiver 1
Darius Powe
Anthony Dable
There's no doubt Beckham is atop this position. White has gotten first-team reps with Beckham on the sideline.
Wide receiver 2
Roger Lewis Jr.
Davis impressed enough in the spring to earn first-team reps. King and Lewis are sprinkled in occasionally, too. They have made some noise.
Slot WR
K.J. Maye
The Giants are bringing Cruz along slowly. If he starts taking most of his snaps with the first team, Shepard will bump Davis down at WR2.
Left tackle
Flowers takes every first-team snap. His backup is probably starting left guard Justin Pugh. Jake Rodgers occasionally plays on the left as well.
Left guard
Seymour has been the primary second-team option behind Pugh. Jones occasionally finds his way in there.
Center
Gettis has been moved this year from guard to center. He's spent most (if not all) of his time there. McDermott has moved around the line.
Right guard
Jerry takes all of the first-team reps. Cleary is a converted tackle getting his chance at guard.
Right tackle
Jake Rodgers
Newhouse has every first-team rep in live drills. Hart is the second-team option ... for now?
