Minors 6.24.15: Jeff Diehl walk-off triple lifts 'Clones

SALT LAKE 5, LAS VEGAS 4: With the 51s leading 4-2, Vic Black allowed three eighth-inning runs without recording an out. In his second appearance since returning from a groin injury, Black issued consecutive walks, then tossed a wild pitch. He then surrendered a three-run homer to C.J. Cron and departed. Starter Tyler Pill allowed two runs in five innings in a no-decision. Danny Muno went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Wilfredo Tovar went 3-for-3 and scored twice. Box

HARRISBURG 4, BINGHAMTON 1: Michael Fulmer tossed seven scoreless innings in a no-decision and Gavin Cecchini had three of Binghamton’s seven hits, including his fifth homer. With two outs in the bottom of the seventh, Jared King lined a triple into right-center. The base hit ended the night for Fulmer at 87 pitches. Pinch hitter Brock Peterson tapped a grounder in front of home plate. Catcher Pedro Severino pounced on the ball and threw out Peterson at first to end the threat. The B-Mets failed to hold a 1-0 lead over the final two innings as Matt Koch surrendered four runs. Koch entered in the eighth and was met with a single from Pedro Severino. Severino moved to second on a sacrifice bunt. Koch then walked Cutter Dykstra. Eventually, Wilmer Difo delivered a two-out, two-run single. Trea Turner followed with a run-scoring triple. Down 4-1 in the bottom of the ninth, the B-Mets got the tying run to the plate with two outs. However, King struck out against Sam Runion. Box

JUPITER 6, ST. LUCIE 2 (14 innings): Felix Munoz hit a pinch-hit grand slam with one out in the bottom of the 14th inning on a 1-2 pitch from Julian Hilario. The long ball struck the right-field foul pole. The Mets finished the Florida State League’s first half with a 35-35 record. Hammerheads relievers retired 24 of the last 26 batters they faced. The Mets scored in the first on Dominic Smith's run-scoring fielder's choice. Phillip Evans grounded into a run-scoring double play with the bases loaded in the second for a 2-0 lead. In the fourth, Blake Barber hit a two-out, two-run single against Rob Whalen to tie the score. Both runs were unearned because a fielding error by Evans at second base had extended the inning. Munoz only entered the game because starting DH Justin Bohn had been ejected earlier in extra innings for arguing a called third strike. St. Lucie relievers Mike Hepple, Robby Coles, Kyle Regnault and Kelly Secrest each contributed two scoreless innings. Box

JOHNSON CITY 10, KINGSPORT 5: Starter Erik Manoah allowed seven runs (six earned) in 4 1/3 innings. Dash Winningham drove in two runs and Patrick Mazeika doubled twice in the loss. Box

BROOKLYN 2, TRI-CITY 1 (12 innings): Jeff Diehl produced a walk-off RBI triple in the bottom of the 12th. Craig Missigman, Alex Palsha and Carlos Valdez (1-0) combined for 7 1/3 scoreless relief innings. Starter Jose Celas walked six but limited Tri-City to an unearned run in 4 2/3 innings.  Box

GCL METS 3, GCL MARLINS 3 (suspended): Daniel Murphy went 1-for-1 with a walk and started at third base in his first rehab game. He was replaced by a pinch runner in the third inning. The game was suspended in the fourth inning by rain. Box
