BREVARD COUNTY 1, ST. LUCIE 0 (suspended): The opener of Thursday’s scheduled doubleheader was suspended due to rain. The Manatees led 1-0 in the bottom of the first with Jeff McNeil at the plate with an 0-2 count when the game was halted. Yeixon Ruiz was on first base with none out. Travis d'Arnaud had been scheduled to begin a rehab assignment in the nightcap. The teams will continue the suspended game on Friday in Viera, Florida, at Space Coast Stadium at 5:05 p.m. The Mets will play as the home team. Game 2 will begin 30 minutes after the completion. The Manatees will serve as the home team for Game 2. Box

SAVANNAH 10, HAGERSTOWN 9: Christian Montgomery was charged with five runs in the bottom of the ninth, but the Gnats avoided a complete meltdown. Jimmy Duff inherited the bases loaded from Montgomery with two outs and surrendered a three-run double to Jeff Gardner. But Gardner was thrown out at third base on the play on a relay from center fielder Patrick Biondi to shortstop Luis Guillorme to third baseman Eudor Garcia for the game's final out. Duff was credited with his 11th save. John Mora went 2-for-3 with a double, triple, three RBIs, two walks and a run scored. Box

KINGSPORT 5, PULASKI 2: Thomas McIlraith (2-0) allowed one run on five hits and a walk in five innings. Erik Manoah followed by limiting Pulaski to a solo homer and no other hits in four innings for his second save. Dash Winningham drove in two runs. Box

WEST VIRGINIA 8, BROOKLYN 3: Starter Kevin Canelon allowed five runs (two earned) in four innings. Manuel Hilario had a three-run homer in the fifth to account for Brooklyn's scoring. The Cyclones committed three errors. Box
