Michael Cuddyer due to rejoin Mets after hitless rehab stint

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Michael Cuddyer is expected to rejoin the New York Mets on Sunday and be activated from the disabled list on Monday after a pair of rehab games with Class A St. Lucie.

Cuddyer went 0-for-4 with a walk and run scored on Saturday in the Florida State League. He played a full game in left field. In two games with the club, he went hitless in seven at-bats and also walked twice (once intentionally).

Cuddyer is on the disabled list with a bone bruise below his left kneecap. He also fouled a ball off his foot earlier in the week, according to manager Terry Collins.
