First baseman Brandon Allen then had a fielding error on Carlos Triunfel's grounder as Albuquerque evened the score. Carlyle followed by walking in the winning run. Tapia rebounded to retire the next two batters, but Josh Adams singled to move Juengel into scoring position. No. 9 hitter Ryan Goetz then tied the score with a single that plated Juengel. Beck Wheeler, activated off the disabled list earlier in the day, faced rehabbing Marlin Adeiny Hechavarria with the tying run at third base. Wheeler won an eight-pitch battle by getting Hechavarria to ground out. Wheeler then pitched around a two-out walk and wild pitch in the eighth to earn the win. Obserte, a seventh-round pick out of the University of Oklahoma in 2013, is hitting .500 (14-for-28) with three homers and 14 RBIs during his current seven-game hitting streak.
