          Jackson Jeffcoat shines for Redskins' defense against Ravens

          Here are some highs and lows in terms of individual performances from the Washington Redskins' 31-13 win over the Baltimore Ravens:

          HIGHS

          Linebacker Jackson Jeffcoat: He’s in a battle for a roster spot and had a strong night. Jeffcoat intercepted a pass and had a sack/fumble in the second half. Jeffcoat worked a lot on his explosiveness in the offseason.

          Running back Matt Jones: He gained 57 yards on seven carries, showing again that he should be a strong contributor this season. Jones still runs too upright at times, but his footwork is good.

          Receiver Rashad Ross: He continues his strong summer with six catches for 56 yards, a punt return for 15 yards and a kick return for 35. He’ll be a tough out when it comes to the 53-man roster.

          LOWS

          Running back Alfred Morris: Not just him, but the run game in particular. Morris can’t do it alone, but four yards on seven carries is not the night Washington wanted to see.

          Safety Dashon Goldson: Got caught on a bad angle on Steve Smith’s 63-yard catch-and-run for a touchdown and then missed another tackle of Smith on a third-down play that led to a first down.
