Bills' search focuses on Lewis, Fox

It appears to be a two-horse coaching race in Buffalo. New general manager Tom Donahoe is waiting until after the Super Bowl to interview defensive coordinators Marvin Lewis of the Baltimore Ravens and John Fox of the New York Giants.

Donohoe was going to interview Dom Capers next week, but Capers is heading to Houston to coach the Texans and was not the leading candidate to coach the Bills. That distinction probably falls to Lewis, but Fox has a real shot, too. Donohoe has already interviewed Bills defensive coordinator Ted Cottrell.

Donahoe will spend Super Bowl week evaluating his personnel. He needs to make critical decisions because several players have inflated salary-cap numbers. He also will study the work of both quarterbacks, Rob Johnson and Doug Flutie, before discussing their future in Buffalo with the new coach. One of them will be gone.
