Here is a look at the coaches we saw in the stands at the events we covered during the first July evaluation period (July 11-15) and who they were monitoring: Note: Just because a coach or school wasn't on this list, does not mean they were not out during the evaluation period or even at one of the events we covered. Also, coaches could have been at a particular event to evaluate more than the players mentioned. These are the players we know they were evaluating. Arizona WildcatsHead coach Sean Miller was keeping tabs on ESPN 100 SG Keith Frazier (Dallas/Kimball) at the Reebok Breakout Challenge. Wildcats assistants checked out the dynamic duo of Aaron Harrison and Andrew Harrison (Richmond, Texas/Travis) on the third day of the evaluation period. On the final two days of the evaluation period, associate head coach James Whitford was at the Pangos Sweet 16 in Long Beach, Calif., tracking ESPN 60 point guard Jordan McLaughlin.
Arizona State Sun DevilsThe Sun Devils had nearly their entire staff, including head coach Herb Sendek, associate head coach Dedrique Taylor and assistant coach Lamont Smith, evaluate ESPNU 100 point guard London Perrantes (Encino, Calif./Crespi) at the Pangos Sweet 16 in Long Beach, Calif. Perrantes is considered to be the most polished point guard out west in the Class of 2013.
Auburn TigersHead coach Tony Barbee was part of a large crowd watching AAU teammates ESPN 100 shooting guard Robert Hubbs (Newbern, Tenn./Dyer County) and ESPN 100 power forward Austin Nichols (Eads, Tenn./Briarcrest) at the Reebok Breakout Challenge.
Baylor BearsHead coach Scott Drew was front and center at the Reebok Breakout Challenge on the first night of the evaluation period watching the Harrison twins. Baylor assistants continued to track the twins throughout the event. Drew also seemed interested in power forward Johnathan Motley (Houston/North Shore).
Boston College EaglesWith a program-changing recruit like ESPN 60 power forward Noah Vonleh (Haverhill, Mass./New Hampton) in the Eagles' backyard, it should come as no surprise that head coach Steve Donohue was sitting courtside at the adidas Invitational in Indianapolis, Ind. Donohue was also checking out Class of 2015 guard Jalen Adams, who is from Melrose, Mass. Eagles assistants were also seen following around center Chinoso Obokoh (Rochester, N.Y./Bishop Kearney) at the Hoop Group Elite Camp in Reading, Pa.
Butler BulldogsHead coach Brad Stevens was closely evaluating Los Angeles Lakers coach Mike Brown's son, Elijah Brown (Santa Ana, Calif./Mater Dei), at the adidas Invitational.
Cincinnati BearcatsThe stock of Roddy Peters (District Heights, Md./Suitland) continues to rise and every program in need of a point guard is keeping tabs. Mick Cronin saw him at the Reebok Breakout Challenge. The Bearcats also sent assistants to see power forward Junior Etou (Arlington, Va./Bishop O'Connell) at the Hoop Group Elite Camp.
Clemson TigersBrad Brownell was at the Reebok Breakout Challenge watching Johnathan Motley, a high-energy combination-forward who can put the ball on the floor and get to the rim. Assistants from Clemson were also checking in on ESPN 60 small forward Jalen Lindsey at Big Shots.
Coastal Carolina ChanticleersAssistant coach Benny Moss was following around shooting guard Tymetrius Toney (Alpharetta, Ga./Alpharetta) at the Atlanta Hardwood Jam Fest.
Colorado BuffaloesHead coach Tad Boyle was front and center at the adidas Invitational for Tre'Shaun Lexing (Tacoma, Wash./Lincoln), who is becoming a Pac-12 target. Lexing said after the game he has a strong interest in the Buffaloes, and the feeling seems mutual.
Connecticut HuskiesJim Calhoun is one of the few head coaches who don't have to wear his school colors, because everyone knows who he is. When he walked into the gym at the adidas Invitational to check out Noah Vonleh, everyone in the stands from New England did a double take.
Detroit TitansHead coach Ray McCallum sat under the basket at the adidas Invitational and in clear view of small forward Byron Zeigler (Detroit/Community), letting the local product know he is a top priority for the Titans.
Florida GatorsBilly Donovan was one of many head coaches at the adidas Invitational with a lot of interest in ESPN 100 power forward Jordan Mickey.
Florida International Golden PanthersNew head coach Richard Pitino was front and center at the Hoop Group Elite camp to see point guard Jaquan Lynch (Brooklyn, N.Y./Thomas Jefferson) on Saturday. A day later, he landed a commitment from Lynch following the conclusion of camp.
Florida State SeminolesLeonard Hamilton was a consistent presence at all of ESPN 60 center Trayvon Reed's (Snellville, Ga./Shiloh) games at the Atlanta Hardwood Jam Fest.
Georgetown HoyasHoyas' assistants were in the building at Big Shots in Myrtle Beach, S.C., to check out ESPN 60 small forward Jalen Lindsey.
Georgia BulldogsMark Fox was one of many head coaches at the Reebok Breakout Challenge keeping tabs on AAU teammates Robert Hubbs and Austin Nichols. Fox then went to Big Shots in Myrtle Beach, S.C., to check in on Jalen Lindsey (Nashville, Tenn./CPA), one of the hottest junior wing prospects in the country, and was courtside to see ESPN 100 power forward Jarquez Smith (Macon, Ga./Jones City) on the final day of the evaluation period.
Georgia Tech Yellow JacketsHead coach Brian Gregory was at the Atlanta Hardwood Jam Fest keeping tabs on ESPN 60 center Trayvon Reed.
Gonzaga BulldogsAssistant coach Donnie Daniels was consistently monitoring ESPN 60 small forward Malik Pope (Sacramento, Calif./Capital Christian) at the Pangos Sweet 16 in Long Beach, Calif.
Harvard CrimsonAssistant coach Yanni Hufnagel was at the Pangos Sweet 16 checking out twins Malcolm Allen and Marcus Allen (Las Vegas/Centennial), a pair of highly explosive guards who affect the game in multiple ways.
Houston CougarsJames Dickey was among a handful of head coaches at the Reebok Breakout Challenge checking out Johnathan Motley.
Indiana HoosiersCoach Tom Crean was watching one game in particular at the adidas Invitational as two of his commits -- small forwards Devin Davis (Indianapolis, Ind./Warren Central) and Collin Hartman (Fishers, Ind./Cathedral) -- were taking on ESPN 60 power forward Noah Vonleh. Hoosiers assistants were also seen at the Hoop Group Elite Camp watching ESPN 25 small forward Malachi Richardson (Trenton, N.J./Life Center Academy).
Jacksonville State GamecocksAssistant Reggie Sharp was seen at the Atlanta Hardwood Jam Fest giving a hard look at point guard Tony Bagtas (Union City, Ga./Westlake).
Kansas JayhawksHead coach Bill Self was sitting under the basket on the first day of the evaluation period at the adidas Invitational, watching Noah Vonleh's every move. Self was also keeping tabs on ESPN 100 power forward Jordan Mickey at the adidas Invitational. Kansas dispatched assistants to the Reebok Breakout Challenge, as well, to follow the Harrison twins.
Kentucky WildcatsJohn Calipari did not make it to the Reebok Breakout Challenge on the first day of the evaluation period to check in on the Harrison twins because he was coaching the Dominican Republic team, though he did send an assistant. Calipari arrived Friday night to watch the twins for himself. Wildcats assistant John Robic was front and center at the adidas Invitational for all of ESPN 100 power forward Chris Walker's (Bonifay, Fla./Holmes County) and ESPN 60 shooting guard D'Angelo Russell's (Louisville, Ky./Montverde Academy) games. He was also keeping tabs on power forward Kentan Facey (Glen Head, N.Y./Long Island Lutheran).
Louisville CardinalsAt the adidas Invitational, Rick Pitino was giving a lot of attention to commit ESPN 100 shooting guard Anton Gill (Raleigh, N.C./Hargrave Military Academy), as well as keeping tabs on ESPN 60 power forward Noah Vonleh, power forward Kentan Facey (Glen Head, N.Y./Long Island Lutheran), ESPN 100 power forward Jordan Mickey and ESPN 100 center Karviar Shepherd (Dallas/Grace Prep).
Maryland TerrapinsHead coach Mark Turgeon and some assistants were at the Reebok Breakout Challenge on the first day of the evaluation period to check in on the Harrison twins and Terrapins assistants kept tabs on them throughout the event. Turgeon was also following local point guard Roddy Peters (District Heights, Md./Suitland).
Memphis TigersHead coach Josh Pastner was among the crowd of head coaches at the Reebok Breakout Challenge keeping tabs on AAU teammates Robert Hubbs and Austin Nichols.
Mercer BearsHead coach Bob Hoffman was at the Atlanta Hardwood Jam Fest checking out face-up 4-man Mark Champion (Suwanee, Ga./Lambert).
Miami HurricanesCoach Jim Larranaga was at the Reebok Breakout Challenge on the first day of the evaluation period, checking out ESPN 100 point guard Rashawn Powell (Orlando, Fla./Dr. Phillips). The Hurricanes also dispatched assistants to follow power forward Junior Etou. At the Atlanta Hardwood Jam Fest, assistant Eric Konkol seemed to be intently watching wing Quinton Stephens (Atlanta/Marist).
Michigan WolverinesHead coach John Beilein was at the adidas Invitational keeping tabs on three commits -- ESPN 100 recruits point guard Derrick Walton (Detroit/Chandler Park Academy), shooting guard Zak Irvin (Fishers, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern) and power forward Mark Donnal (Whitehouse, Ohio/Anthony Wayne). Beilein and his assistant coaches were noticeable (thanks to the bright yellow Michigan shirts they were wearing) which checking out junior small forward Trevon Bluiett (Indianapolis, Ind./Park Tudor)
Michigan State SpartansCoach Tom Izzo, who has had great success recruiting in Ohio over the years, was on the front row at the adidas Invitational watching ESPN 100 power forward Devin Williams (Cincinnati, Ohio/Montverde Academy).
Missouri TigersHead coach Frank Haith was at the adidas Invitational keeping tabs on AAU teammates Robert Hubbs and Austin Nichols.
Nebraska CornhuskersThere's one ESPN 100 prospect in Nebraska and Tim Miles knows that. Therefore, the Cornhuskers first-year head coach spent his first day front and center for power forward Akoy Agau (Omaha, Neb./Omaha Central) to see.
North Carolina Tar HeelsOn the first day of the evaluation period, Roy Williams was at the Reebok Breakout Challenge in Philadelphia, checking out ESPN 100 power forward Jermaine Lawrence (Springfield Gardens, N.Y./Pope John XXII). On the second day, Williams was in Indianapolis, Ind., for the adidas Invitational keeping tabs on ESPN 60 power forward Noah Vonleh, ESPN 100 shooting guard Robert Hubbs and ESPN 100 power forward Austin Nichols. Williams also dispatched assistants to Big Shots in Myrtle Beach, S.C., to check out ESPN 60 small forward Jalen Lindsey.
North Carolina State WolfpackMark Gottfried was very visible and very busy at the adidas Invitational keeping tabs on power forward Isaac Copeland (Raleigh, N.C./The Miller School), ESPN 60 small forward Noah Vonleh, shooting guard Sam Singer (Miami, Fla./Ransom Everglades) and ESPN 100 power forward Devin Williams.
Notre Dame Fighting IrishMike Brey was parked right under behind the basket, carving out some prime real estate at the adidas Invitational to check out in-state priority ESPN 100 point guard Demetrius Jackson (Mishawaka, Ind./ Marian). Brey was also checking out Noah Vonleh and Irish commit V.J. Beachem (New Haven, Ind./New Haven).
Ole Miss RebelsCoach Andy Kennedy was following shooting guard Markel Crawford (Memphis, Tenn./Melrose) at the Atlanta Hardwood Jam Fest. Crawford has mentioned the Rebels as one of his early favorites.
Ohio State BuckeyesThad Matta was about three seats down from Michigan State coach Tom Izzo at the adidas Invitational, making sure ESPN 100 power forward Devin Williams (Cincinnati, Ohio/Montverde Academy) saw him as well. Matta was also keeping tabs on ESPN 100 power forward Jordan Mickey (Arlington, Texas/Grace Prep). The Buckeyes sent assistants to Big Shots as well to check out ESPN 60 small forward Jalen Lindsey.
Penn State Nittany LionsHead coach Pat Chambers was on commitment-protecting patrol to begin the period at the Reebok Breakout Challenge and was front and center for ESPN 100 small forward Brandon Austin (Philadelphia/Imhotep Charter). Chambers also dispatched assistants to the Hoop Group Elite Team Camp to keep tabs on center Chinoso Obokoh (Rochester, N.Y./Bishop Kearney).
Providence FriarsCoach Ed Cooley was seen at the adidas Invitational keeping tabs on power forward Kentan Facey (Glen Head, N.Y./Long Island Lutheran).
Purdue BoilermakersHead coach Matt Painter was front and center at the adidas Invitational, making sure commit Basil Smotherman (Indianapolis, Ind./Heritage Christian) saw him.
Rice OwlsAssistant coaches were checking in on twins Marcus Allen and Malcolm Allen (Las Vegas/Centennial) at the Pangos Sweet 16.
Rutgers Scarlet KnightsMike Rice was front and center at the Reebok Breakout Challenge on the first day of the evaluation period, checking in on ESPN 100 power forward Jermaine Lawrence. The Scarlet Knights also dispatched assistants to the Hoop Group Elite Team Camp to keep tabs on center Chinoso Okoboh.
San Diego State AztecsSteve Fisher made inroads with the Hamilton brothers, ESPN 100 shooting guard Isaac Hamilton and ESPN 60 shooting guard Daniel Hamilton (Los Angeles/Saint John Bosco), at the adidas Invitational. Fisher then was at the Pangos Sweet 16 monitoring the progress of ESPN 60 small forward Malik Pope (Sacramento, Calif./Capital Christian).
Santa Clara BroncosAt the Pangos Sweet 16, head coach Kerry Keating was consistently monitoring power forward Keonta Vernon (Tulare, Calif./Tulare Union), as well as small forward Michael Thomas (Woodland Hills, Calif./El Camino Real).
SMU MustangsOn the first night of the evaluation period, Larry Brown was at the Reebok Breakout Challenge following the Harrison twins. Brown was also keeping close tabs on
power forward Johnathan Motley (Houston/North Shore), power forward Tony Trocha (Houston/Saint Thomas) and ESPN 100 shooting guard Keith Frazier (Dallas/Kimball).
South Carolina GamecocksFrank Martin is a Miami guy through and through, therefore it came as no surprise to see him front and center at the Reebok Breakout Challenge, watching power forward Demetrius Henry (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Faith Baptist).
Stanford CardinalAt the Pangos Sweet 16, ESPN 60 recruit Jordan McLaughlin (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif./Etiwanda) had a consistent group of coaches taking in his act, including Stanford assistant Mark Madsen. The twin dynamic duo of Marcus and Malcolm Allen (Las Vegas/Centennial) also caught Madsen's interest.
TCU Horned FrogsTrent Johnson was at the adidas Invitational watching local ESPN 100 prospects, power forward Jordan Mickey (Arlington, Texas/Grace Prep) and center Karviar Shepherd (Dallas/Grace Prep).
Temple OwlsESPN 25 small forward Malachi Richardson drew assistant coaches from Temple to the Hoop Group Elite Team Camp. He is one of the top perimeter prospects the Northeast has to offer in the Class of 2015.
Tennessee VolunteersCuonzo Martin was at the adidas Invitational keeping close tabs on in-state ESPN 100 prospects power forward Austin Nichols and shooting guard Robert Hubbs.
Tennessee tech Golden EaglesAssistant coach Russ Willemsen was at the Atlanta Hardwood Jam Fest keeping tabs on small forward Jabari McGhee (Albany, Ga./Monroe) and forward Chukwudubem Okeke.
Texas A&M AggiesBilly Kennedy was at the Reebok Breakout Challenge trying to do all he can to keep local standout Keith Frazier (Dallas/Kimball) local for college. He was also doing his homework on power forward Tony Trocha (Houston/Saint Thomas). Then Kennedy headed to the adidas Invitational where he was front and center for power forward Tavario Miller (Houston/Phillis Wheatley) and 2014 small forward Marvin Saunders (Houston/Kinkaid) to see him. Kennedy made sure he was very visible throughout their games.
UAB BlazersJared Haase was part of a large crowd at the adidas Invitational watching AAU teammates Robert Hubbs and Austin Nichols.
UCLA BruinsBen Howland gave his undivided attention at the adidas Invitational to ESPN 100 power forward Devin Williams (Cincinnati, Ohio/Montverde Academy), as the Bruins are attempting to use their name to pull one of the Midwest's best to Westwood. The Bruins' boss also kept tabs on ESPN 100 power forward Jordan Mickey (Arlington, Texas/Grace Prep), ESPN 100 shooting guard Isaac Hamilton (Los Angeles/Saint John Bosco), ESPN 60 shooting guard Daniel Hamilton (Los Angeles/Saint John Bosco) and power forward Kentan Facey (Glen Head, N.Y./Long Island Lutheran). The Bruins also dispatched assistant coach Scott Garsen to the Pangos Sweet 16 and he kept an eye on ESPN 60 point guard Jordan McLaughlin (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif./Etiwanda), ESPN 60 small forward Malik Pope (Elk Grove, Calif./Burbank) and twins Marcus and Malcolm Allen (Las Vegas/Centennial).
UCSB GauchosHead coach Bob Williams was keeping tabs on twins Marcus and Malcolm Allen (Las Vegas/Centennial) at the Pangos Sweet 16.
UNLV RebelsAssociate head coach Justin Hutson was at the Pangos Sweet 16 keeping a close eye on ESPN 60 Malik Pope (Elk Grove, Calif./Burbank), who exploded onto the scene in April and continued his impressive play.
UTEP MinersGreg Foster was the only coach present at the Pangos Sweet 16 following the progress of Aaron Valdez (La Jolla, Calif./La Jolla Prep), who is an ultra-explosive wing who affects the game in multiple ways.
USC TrojansAssistant Dieter Horton was at the Pangos Sweet 16 taking in the acts of ESPN 60 point guard Jordan McLaughlin (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif./Etiwanda), ESPN 60 small forward Malik Pope (Elk Grove, Calif./Burbank) and ESPN 100 point guard London Perrantes (Encino, Calif./Crespi).
USF BullsRex Walters was all the way on the West Coast for the Pangos Sweet 16. He was among a large group of coaches, but one of the few head coaches watching ESPN 60 point guard Jordan McLaughlin (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif./Etiwanda).
Vanderbilt CommodoresKevin Stallings was among the crowd at the adidas Invitational keeping tabs on AAU teammates Robert Hubbs and Austin Nichols. He was also at the Reebok Breakout Challenge checking in on power forward Johnathan Motley.
Villanova WildcatsJay Wright was at the Reebok Breakout Challenge, checking on ESPN 100 Jermaine Lawrence (Springfield Gardens, N.Y./Pope John XXIII), the first day of the evaluation period. The following day, Wright took in center Chinoso Obokoh (Rochester, N.Y./Bishop Kearney) at the Hoop Group Elite Team Camp. The Wildcats dispatched assistants to check out the Harrison twins later on in the evaluation period at the Reebok Breakout Challenge.
Virginia CavaliersTony Bennett was among the crowd at the adidas Invitational watching Robert Hubbs and Austin Nichols. Bennett took precautionary measures and followed ESPN 100 point guard commit Devon Hall (Virginia Beach, Va./Cape Henry) from court to court, both days of the Big Shots II in Myrtle Beach, S.C. He also chased 2014 pledge B.J. Stith (Brunswick, Va./Brunswick), who was at the same event; a two-for-one for the Cavaliers. Bennett also dispatched assistants to the Hoop Group Elite Team Camp to keep tabs on ESPN 25 small forward Malachi Richardson (Trenton, N.J./Life Center Academy).
Virginia Tech HokiesJames Johnson, who is no stranger to Florida kids, was at the Reebok Breakout Challenge watching power forward Demetrius Henry (Miami, Fla./Faith Baptist). He was also keeping tabs on point guard Roddy Peters (District Heights, Md./Suitland). Johnson sent assistant coaches to Hoop Group Elite Camp to check in on small forward Malachi Richardson (Trenton, N.J./Life Center Academy).
Wake Forest Demon DeaconsJeff Bzdelick was all over power forward Isaac Copeland (Raleigh, N.C./The Miller School) at the adidas Invitational. He was also at the Reebok Breakout Challenge with assistant coach Jeff Battle, watching shooting guard Miles Overton (Chester, Pa./St. Joseph).
Washington HuskiesLorenzo Romar was one of the most visible head coaches on the first day of the adidas Invitational, sitting in the front row and checking out in-state small forward Tre'Shaun Lexing. He was also keeping a careful watch on Isaac Hamilton and Daniel Hamilton. Assistant coach Paul Fortier was at the Pangos Sweet 16 taking in ESPN 60 shooting guard Jordan McLaughlin's (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif./Etiwanda) act.
Washington State CougarsAssistant coach Curtis Allen was present at every one of ESPN 100 point guard London Perrantes' (Encino, Calif./Crespi) games at the Pangos Sweet 16.
West Virginia MountaineersBob Huggins, who has strong Ohio ties, was watching ESPN 100 power forward Devin Williams' (Cincinnati, Ohio/Montverde Academy) every move at the adidas Invitational. He was also front and center watching ESPN 100 power forward Jordan Mickey (Arlington, Texas/Grace Prep). Associate head coach Larry Harrison's first target was ESPN 60 shooting guard Isaiah Whitehead (Brooklyn, N.Y./Lincoln), whom he saw at the Hoop Group Elite Team Camp. Harrison also checked out ESPN 25 small forward Malachi Richardson (Trenton, N.J./Life Center Academy).
