Moss' TD catch makes dad happy (0:43)

Joe Burrow finds Thaddeus Moss for a short touchdown and Moss' dad, Randy, couldn't be happier as he cheers from the stands. (0:43)

The College Football Playoff National Championship game just got Mossed. Pro football Hall of Famer Randy Moss was spotted at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome decked out in head-to-toe purple and gold -- but not for his old team. Nope, the former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver was repping his son, Thaddeus Moss.

If you're thinking that looks an awful lot like a sweatshirt with Thaddeus' likeness on it, you would be correct.

Thaddeus, who began his college career at NC State before transferring to LSU, is a junior tight end for the Tigers. He entered the national championship game with 42 catches for 534 yards -- an LSU single-season record for tight ends. On Monday night, Moss scored his second touchdown of the game (tying his previous season total for TDs) with 5:13 left in the third quarter to give LSU a 35-25 lead against Clemson.

Genetics, anyone?
