50.1 Embuldeniya provides SL with a much-needed breakthrough. Dimuth runs from mid-off, dives forward, and completes a smart, low catch. Pushed through outside off, Masvaure dares to dash down the track, but gets too close to the pitch. He chips it to the visiting captain. SL have waited 301 balls for this success 96/1
75.3 Kumara surprises Kasuza with a rapid full-toss. Nice and full - it's a full-toss in fact - (reverse)swings in so very late, beats the inside edge and pings the back pad in line with off. The batsman plays around it and misses. Kasuza was rather late to pick it up and has to exit, having soaked up 214 balls for his 63 164/2

107.2 oh my, this is completely Sri Lanka's session now, if it wasn't already! The decision to bring Lakmal back on pays dividends immediately, and it's the prize scalp of the well-set Ervine. Just a bit of nip back in, and that does enough to go through his defence, with a little inside edge as he tries to punch this towards cover 247/5
91.5 Lakmal pins Taylor lbw. Full inswinger, shapes back in just enough to have Taylor playing around his front pad and falling over. Hit bang in front of middle and Taylor has to leave 208/3
106.3 there's the breakthrough! Embuldeniya has threatened the inside and outside edges of both batsmen, and this time some extra bounce does Williams in. Stretches forward to meet one tossed up outside off, and it takes a feather edge through to Dickwella 247/4
128.4 that's the one they would have wanted! Raza skips down the wicket, but Embludeniya has floated this a touch wide. He misses with a wilde swipe and it turns away from his outside edge. He is well short when Dickwella whips off the bails 307/7
114.2 Mathews plunges forward from mid-on and takes a smart catch. Tossed up on off, Chakabva ventures down the track to drill it away. Instead, he chips it to mid-on. The ball dips on Mathews, but he dives to grasp the catch 266/6

130.1 five for Embludeniya! Straighter ball, delightfully floated up around middle, and Jarvis stretches forward. He looks for the turn across him, and in the process lets a substantial gap in between bat and pad, and that's exactly where the ball goes. Embuldeniya nonchalantly accepts his team's congratulations, but this has been a potentially match-turning spell. Guile, precision, and smarts 309/8
139.1 that's the breakthrough! Short leg has taken an absolute blinder! This was bowled fuller by Kumara, and Ndlovu has whipped this off his pads. It has just gone straight into the midriff of Mendis. Sri Lanka celebrate this with abandon, as a dour stand comes to an end. 328/9
147.6 dug in short and on off, Nyauchi backs away once again and fences it straight to Sandakan at backward point. SL dismiss Zimbabwe for 358 after lunch on the second day 358/10

28.6 Maiden Test wicket for Nyauchi! Pretty full on middle stump, Dimuth shapes to flick between short midwicket and mid-on. But he can't quite keep it down. Ndlovu dives across to his right from short midwicket and snaffles a low catch. So, two debutants combine for the breakthrough 92/2
11.1 ...and he strikes with his first ball, flooring the off stump. Nip-backer from Tiripano from a length, Oshada pushes out and watches Tiripano castle him. Bowled through the gate 32/1
66.2 taken at first slip! Nyauchi at it again. Easily the most consistent bowler for Zimbabwe today. And he's engineered this one. Two catching midwickets and a lot of incoming balls later, he gets one to marginally curve away outside off. It's still a rather reckless shot from Mendis, throws hard hands at this well away from the body. Pings off the outside edge and goes at a very friendly pace to Taylor's right at first slip. That's an easy one for him 184/3

81.4 there's an appeal for a catch, the soft signal from umpire Erasmus is not out. Williams spears a full ball on middle from wide of the crease, Chandimal steps out, yorks himself, and bottom-edges the ball onto his boot. The ball then lobs straight back to the bowler off the boot. Williams provides Zimbabwe with a breakthrough with the old ball. Erasmus' on-field decision has been reversed 227/4
116.2 and he departs while looking to accelerate. Was fuller around off, comes down the track and looks to go over the bowler's head. However, the ball hits the inner half and goes towards mid-on where Masvaure takes it with the fingers point upwards 325/5
160.3 given! Dickwella is trapped right in front of middle and off as he tries to lap sweep. Length ball skidding on low, pitching outside off and coming in with the angle. Sneaks under his bat and that's the end of the 136-run stand 461/6
173.4 great stumping! Fired in at the pads, Lakmal was looking to flick it on the leg side but misses, the momentum taking him out of his crease. The ball goes between his legs and Chakabva does brilliant work behind the stumps 510/7
173.5 two in two for Raza. Length ball around off and middle, Embuldeniya looks to defend but ends up playing inside the line, the ball crashes into the stumps 510/8
176.2 length ball at the stumps, Rajitha goes for the sweep and misses. Struck on the back leg, in front of middle and leg. Would have taken out the leg stump 515/9

18.2 and he strikes with his second ball of the morning. It was once again in that channel, Masvaure looks to push at it but it angles away from him after landing while kissing the outside edge. A bit of extra bounce as well, and a regulation catch for Dickwella behind the stumps 33/1

22.3 Lakmal has three, all three left-handers. Was a length ball angling in, Ervine looked to flick it but failed to keep it down. Karunaratne at catching short leg makes no mistake 41/3
44.3 and it's Lakmal once again who provides Sri Lanka with a wicket. Was a length ball on the stumps, Taylor was guilty of playing from the crease. No feet movement and as a result it goes in the air towards short mid-on. Mendis makes no mistake there 120/4
45.2 length outside off, Williams just hangs his bat out and gets an outside edge to the keeper. Sri Lanka have got both Taylor and Williams within two overs after lunch. They are checking for the no ball but it looks fine 120/5
62.1 stumping appeal and Raza doesn't look very confident. Lovely bowling from Embuldeniya. He's foxed him completely. Tossed this right up, but got it to dip quickly on Raza, who was reaching out to drive outside off. It turned away from him and his back foot has dragged well in front of the crease. Out by a long way and a huge wicket. Raza was crucial to Zimbabwe stretching this game and a potential lead if they got to parity 148/6
91.6 he has bowled'im! Chakabva is bowled. It was a quicker one from Embuldeniya, on the stumps. Chakabva went back to cut it away for a single. Instead he missed it altogether and is bowled, the top of middle and off 170/10
81.6 the new ball has done the trick. Was a length ball around off that jagged back in to hit Tiripano on the pads. He was stuck in the crease and the umpire didn't take long to raise his finger. Would have gone on to hit middle and leg 159/7
85.6 bowled'im! A big blow for Zimbabwe, Kumara is ecstatic.Fuller outside off and coming back in. Jarvis was stuck in the crease and pushes at it. Gets an inside edge on to the off stump 163/8
89.4 the off stump has been sent back cartwheeling. Was a length ball around off, Ndlovu was stuck in the crease, looks to defend but is done by the pace. An inside edge on to the woodwork 165/9
