Quinton de Kock, Player of the Match: We played really nicely today. We kept the pressure on them. We just needed to bat really well. I think for myself, I set really high standards, and that just keeps working for me. It's nice to be back with the team, the extra responsibility is good. I haven't batted with a lot of these guys before, but it's great to make new friends. The guys have batted really nicely in the last two games; nice and clinical performances

Matthew Breetzke, South Africa Captain: Clinical. all-round. It started with Nandre Burger up front, he was really special today. with the bat, Quinny and Lhu upfront and then Tony, playing a really good innings, it was nice to watch. We take pride in our fielding as South Africans. We saved quite a lot of runs out there. I'm very happy with the boys. Nandre is one of those guys, when he's on, he's not really nice to face...he's a special bowler. I hope he can come in the third game and do the exact same. That's going to come down to playing the conditions. We are not sure what we're going to get. Hopefully, we're going to win a toss.

Shaheen Shah Afridi, Pakistan Captain: I think Saim and Agha did really well, and their partnership helped us. Firstly, losing three wickets, we thought 270 was a good score, but dropped catches cost us. We will come back strongly.

De Kock resumed normal service and has come back to international cricket like he never left. He was part of two mammoth partnerships as South Africa made light work of the chase. De Kock headlined with 123 not out and De Zorzi added 76, breaking the back of the chase. Earlier, Pakistan had a hiccup as three of their top five fell for single digits. Saim steadied the ship with a fifty, and Salman resurrected the innings with a knock of 69. It could have been far worse had Nawaz not injected some impetus into the innings towards the end with a bit of help from Faheem. However, with the dew and the conditions flattening out, the target was not imposing by any means and South Africa glided to victory with eight wickets in hand. Nandre Burger was the pick of the bowlers, pegging Pakistan back with attacking bowling and hardly sending down any looseners, returning 4 for 46. Corbin Bosch picked up two while Nqabayomzi chipped in with three but was a tad expensive when entrusted with the death overs. Pakistan used eight bowlers but couldn't make any inroads and no one conceded less than six an over. It was, however, a good day for Mohammad Wasim, who quickly found his groove and showed good rhythm. It was a forgettable day all around for the Pakistan bowlers as De Kock took the game away with his wealth of experience, striking another eye-catching hundred and regaling us with his delightful strokeplay
