That's all from the presentation and that means it's time for us at ESPNcricinfo to say goodbye too. Take care everyone. See you on Nov 13 for match number 2. Goodbye!

11.40pm Time for the presentation.

Salman Ali Agha is the Player of the Match for his second ODI century: "I just wanted to be in the present and play on the ball's merit. That worked. The partnership with Hussain set the tone. We were in bit of a dig so we wanted to take the game on. It was not easy to bat against the new ball but we wanted to play our shots and also take our singles and twos. The running between us was the highlight of the partnership. After 35 overs, Hussain and I were set so we wanted to take the game on. We knew if we take 7-8 per over till over 40, then we have Nawaz later, and Faheem after. So we knew we can score 100 in the last ten so we wanted to take it deep."

Charith Asalanka, losing captain: "It was phenomenal [the first 25 overs of our bowling] but one decision went against us that was bad luck against us. But Salman and Talat batted really well. 299 was too much honestly because I thought we could keep them to 260-270. That was not a pitch for 300. We lost our wickets in the middle-period, and same time Haris bowled extremely well. Including me, few batsmen made few bad decisions. Hasaranga is a superstar with the ball and is now batting to his potential."

Winning captain Shaheen Shah Afridi: "The players played well. The way we started and the early wicket losses... credit goes to Agha and Talat. The way we started a score of 300 [299] was a big score. The way we started with the bat, our dot-ball percentage was very high. We were looking to score 250-260 the way we started but 300 is a big total. But more credit goes to Haris Rauf, the way he started was really awesome. Haris is always a wicket-taker for Pakistan. He was our top performer in white-ball cricket. Haris is our main bowler. Babar's catch was like Superman."

11.27pm The hosts go 1-0 up. Pakistan overcame a top-order collapse, a bunch of extras, and dew to hold on to the win. SL scored 75 in the first ten overs but Haris Rauf's initial spell brought the hosts back. After that, they kept putting pressure and getting the wickets. Hasaranga's half-century in vain.

Sri Lanka will be disappointed the way their bowlers initially performed. Eventually, the Salman-Talat partnership and then crucial cameo from Nawaz helped them score enough. Remember, they scored a massive 180 runs in the last 20 overs.

Pakistan will also be delighted with Naseem's return to the side. The lone spinner plan didn't pan out too badly either.

Irrespective, an enjoyable game for the neutral fan. Both teams leave with some lessons to ponder on. However, the victorious side also walk back with a smile too.

SalmanKhan : "Feeling pitty for those who voted for ODIs in the dislike format earlier"

Hussain Talat to Theekshana, 2 runs, length ball outside off and Theekshana angrily punches it straight to Talat, who gets out of the way. SL pinch two but Pakistan win by six runs

Hussain Talat to Theekshana, no run, Talat wins this mini-battle as Theekshana tries to move across and paddle it over short fine leg. However he misses and the ball hits him on the pad. Disappointment in the Sri Lankan camp

big delivery.

Hussain Talat to Theekshana, FOUR, sliced over short third for four! Fullish ball outside off and Theekshana swings the bat hard importantly. Enough behind that shot to clear short third. SL need nine off two balls

Game is still alive. Barely just

Hussain Talat to Theekshana, FOUR, clubbed away for four! Talat bowls closer to the stumps. Theekshana keeps a stable head and swings across the line. Placement was key, and he does that by hitting it to wide long on. Babar's dive is futile

Hussain Talat to Theekshana, 1 wide, another wide given. This was a length ball way outside the tram-lines. Wide called despite Theekshana moving across to the off side

Hussain Talat to Theekshana, 1 wide, slower ball. Full and very wide outside off, anticipating Theekshana will move square. He does do that, but the umpire still thinks it's a wide
