Ireland make it to the final and it will be third successive time that they will face Afghanistan in the final. For the first ten overs in the game, UAE fought like equals. That partnership between Mooney and Johnston knocked the fight out of them.

Their strategy of sending in pinch hitters backfired and no batsman looked set at the crease. The top-order was terrorised by Sorensen and tail by Murtagh.
