Scorer: Chandan Duorah | Commentator: Shashank Kishore

Didn't look like Thunder had a plan to approach this chase. They were stifled at the start, and the pressure showed as they attempted big shots, all in vain, against spin. Rashid Khan, on BBL debut, was particularly impressive.

Travis Head: It was nice to execute what we planned on. We still have a few things to work on. It was a tough wicket, held up a little more than we thought. We got off to starts, we missed a little bit of trick towards the end but we have quality bowlers and Rashid Khan showed what he's capable of tonight. It's exciting, legspin has always played a part for the Strikers and he's just followed the trend. Peter Siddle was outstanding too, he's been really good through the week and showed his skills tonight. This is my first real experience of captaining in T20 and it feels to get on board with the points.

Laughlin to Fekete, OUT, looks to muscle this over long-on, but ends up slicing this straight to point where Ingram takes a dolly. Strikers open their account with a dominant win at home.
