That's it from us tonight. Thanks again for following along, whether in Nepal, the USA, in the Caribbean or anywhere else in the world. I'm Peter Della Penna, good night!

TKR captain Kieron Pollard: "What was evident for us today was execution against the power hitters. I thought that was brilliant, but it was set up by the excellent opening spell from Ali Khan and the youngster Jayden Seales. We want to try to protect [Seales] as much as possible but in the heat of the moment sometimes you have to throw him into the fire. The couple times he has come on, he has shown the capacity to handle that sort of pressure."

Tallawahs captain Rovman Powell: "We talked about not losing early wickets and to find myself and Chadwick back in the pavilion early is a problem. It was a little bit sticky but that's not a reason for us not to score runs. We have to improve our catches and too much simple misfields. But we don't become a bad team after one game. The self-belief and spirit is still there."

Sunil Narine named Man of the Match: "I've been training [during lockdown]. It's good to go out there and perform so your hard work is not in vain but it's just the start of the tournament. I'd like it to continue because I do well at the start of tournaments and don't carry on but my aim is to try to continue as much as possible and see how much I can really do. "

9:45 pm Munro ends one short of a half-century. Puts his arm around Nicholas Kirton and whispers something to the Tallawahs No. 3. TKR goes to 2-0 in the early part of the tournament. Tallawahs fall to 1-1. Tallawahs had very little likelihood of defending such a meager total, but the dropped chances made it even more remote.

Brathwaite to Pollard, 1 wide, bouncer down leg takes the decision out of Pollard's hands whether or not to block 5 more balls. TKR clinches victory by 7 wickets with 11 balls to spare.
18.1

Brathwaite to Munro, 1 run, short on the stumps, pulls to deep midwicket for one.

Who cares about net run rate when your partner is on 48 at the other end with 2 needed to win?! Munro takes guard finally on 48.

END OF OVER:
18 | 7 Runs | TKR: 134/3 (2 runs required from 12 balls, RR: 7.44, RRR: 1.00)

Edwards to Pollard, no run, full on off, defended into extra cover. Pollard doesn't seem to be concerned about net run rate coming into play later in the group stage. Content to protect his average with 3 off 13 needed.
17.4
1
Edwards to Munro, 1 run, good length ball on off, mistimes a punch aiming for the off side and comes off inside edge into midwicket.
