How players spent their weekend after coronavirus cancelled cricket

Cricket

On March 13 and 14, three in-progress international series - India v South Africa, Australia v New Zealand and Sri Lanka v West Indies - were cancelled due to the growing threat of the COVID-19 pandemic. Players, who would otherwise have been in action, found themselves having a weekend off. Here's what some of them were up to.

As a pet parent, KL Rahul had the ideal company.

South Africa kept themselves busy with some kick volleyball. But…

... one player wasn't happy.

Lungi Ngidi's spirits lifted with a spot of sunbathing though.

Ngidi's team-mate Andile Phehlukwayo stepped out for dinner in Lucknow.

Australia's ODI captain Aaron Finch too accepted Peter Siddle's invite for a lunch.

James Neesham got to wear New Zealand's retro kit just once but he made sure to spread a message of positivity.

Despite news coming through that England were flying back home before the start of their series in Sri Lanka, Angelo Mathews was not the one to miss the gym.

Dre Russ too was readying himself for the next edition of #Russellmania.
