South Africa's dominating 3-0 ODI series victory over Ireland has resulted in big gains for their key personnel in the latest update of the ICC ODI rankings. Shabnim Ismail reached her career-best rating of 755 points after an 11-wicket haul in the series to consolidate her position at No. 2 for bowlers, while fellow seamer Ayabonga Khaka moved up to No. 5.
Laura Wolvaardt's 89 in the final ODI has lifted her one place up to No. 4 on the batters list, pushing Australia captain Meg Lanning to No. 5. However, Australia's Alyssa Healy continues to be the world's top-ranked ODI batter with Nat Sciver and Beth Mooney still holding on to positions two and three.
Ismail has only England spinner Sophie Ecclestone - the world No. 1 in both white-ball formats - ahead of her in the ODI rankings. Her match haul of 5 for 8 in the final ODI though has extended the gap between her and the Australian duo of Jess Jonassen (No. 3) and Megan Schutt (No. 4) on the rankings table.
The ACC Women's tournament in Malaysia and the Kwibuka Women's Tournament in Rwanda also brought in some upward movement in the T20 rankings. United Arab Emirates' Esha Oza rose three places to a career-best 33rd rank in the T20 batters list that still has Australians Mooney and Lanning, and Indian teenager Shafali Verma rounding up the top three.
Uganda's Sarah Akiteng went up 14 places to 66th on the T20I bowlers rankings list that features Ecclestone at No. 1, followed by England's Sarah Glenn and Ismail at Nos. 2 and 3.
England's Sciver remains the world's No. 1 allrounder with Australia Ellyse Perry behind her. The culmination of the Ireland ODI series did see Marizanne Kapp drop to No. 4 among allrounders with West Indies' Hayley Matthews now holding on to the No. 3 position.
