ESPN/ESPN2 will kick off its fifth season of Major League Soccer coverage on Sunday, March 26, with the live telecast of the NY/NJ MetroStars at the Miami Fusion on ESPN2 at 3 p.m. ET. ESPN and ESPN2 will combine to present a minimum of 26 regular-season matches. The highlights: 'This schedule represents a significant opportunity for the league to maximize its television exposure by creating a weekly programming window for appointment viewing,' said Steve Risser, ESPN vice president, programming. 'Major League Soccer remains an integral part of ESPN?s commitment to the sport.' ESPN Inc., entering its fifth season of MLS coverage, and ABC Sports are the league's national television outlets. The combined networks - ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC Sports - present the most comprehensive soccer coverage in the United States.
