	ESPN Inc. will provide extensive coverage of the 2000 Summer Olympics from Sydney, Australia, beginning Wednesday, Sept. 13 and concluding Sunday, Oct. 1. With SportsCenter leading ESPN's multi-platform coverage of Olympic news, ESPNEWS, ESPN.com, ESPN Radio, ESPN The Magazine and SportsTicker will feature reporters, commentators and editors covering the Sydney 2000 games. "When fans turn to ESPN, they expect the best in sports news content," said Bob Eaton, ESPN's senior vice president and managing editor. "Our staff in Sydney and our Bristol production personnel will keep the American sports fan well informed of all the Olympics news," Highlights: SportsCenter ESPN SportsCenter anchor Robin Roberts, a veteran Olympics reporter and host, will return to the quadrennial games and will be joined by Steve Cyphers, who also covered the 1992 and 1996 Summer Games. Both reporters will provide daily news updates, taped reports and features from the Games. Additional segments - Weekday morning SportsCenters on ESPN from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET will feature updates with real times scores and live reports from Sydney. Pre-taped athlete profiles and post-event interviews will appear regularly on SportsCenter. Cyphers' SportsCenter "Olympic Notes" will continue. The SportsCenter Bottom Line will be continuously updated with late Olympic results throughout the day. ESPNEWS The nation's only 24-hour sports news network will present breaking news from Sydney as well as feature Olympic scores and taped interviews. ESPN.com The nation's most popular sports site on the Internet will continue its Olympics coverage (http://espn.go.com/oly/index.html) with streaming video of select SportsCenter interviews. Other features ESPN.com's front page will include the day's top Olympics story, event highlights, links to the Website's individual sport pages, medalists, expert analysis, and a Sydney time clock. Also, the service will provide in-depth, sport-by-sport coverage with up-to-the-minute scores, medal tracking, information on past medalists, schedules, American rosters and bios. ESPN The Magazine ESPN The Magazine will offer a comprehensive preview of the 2000 Summer Olympics with a 40-page package in the September 18 issue, on sale Wednesday, Sept. 6. In addition to features on anticipated medal winners like Maurice Greene and Marion Jones, The Magazine will also look at some of the interesting story lines that may play out in Sydney, including the hottest international rivalries, profiles on "Dream Teen" athletes, and a "Total Access" that takes readers inside the Athletes' Village. Throughout the competition, Olympic writer Ann Marie Cruz will report from Sydney with regular postcards that will appear on The Magazine's ESPN.com page at ESPN.com/mag. ESPN Radio ESPN Radio GameNight's Chris Moore and Doug Brown will go "Down Under" to bring the Sydney experience to ESPN Radio. In addition to their regular shift on GameNight (7-11 p.m.), Moore and Brown will serve as Olympic reporters for other ESPN Radio shows from the Opening Ceremony to the final medal count. ESPN Radio will broadcast Dan LeBatard's The Sunday Morning ESPN Magazine show (7-11 a.m.) live from Sydney for the duration of the Games. ESPN Radio coverage will also feature ABC reporters, including former Olympians Bart Conner, Kathy Johnson and Jim Naber. ESPN personalities including Robin Roberts, Mitch Albom, and Rick Telander will also provide commentary and deliver news.
