Gamerbee makes a buzz at EGX

Street Fighter V player Victor "Punk" Woodley will play in the upcoming ELeague Street Fighter V Invitational for Panda Global. Capcom

Zowie's Bruce "Gamerbee" Hsiang took down his second premier event in a row with a victory at EGX 2016 in Birmingham, United Kingdom. The hottest player in Street Fighter V didn't drop a single set en route to another dominating tournament win in what could be the greatest run in the game's short history.

His Necalli play should be considered the finest in the world and the results were good enough to back it up.

EGX was packed with some of the best players from every major region: North America, Europe and Asia. The notable contenders from North America included Red Bull Darryl "SnakeEyez" Lewis and Evil Geniuses' Kenneth "KBrad" Bradley. Although there were few players that hailed from Asia, they were certainly world-class, with names like Gamerbee, Red Bull and Twitch's Daigo "The Beast" Umehara, Red Bull's Masato "Bonchan" Takahashi and Shinya "Nuki" Onuki.

Naturally, the largest player base came from Europe and the best of the bunch were Ryan "Prodigal Son" Hart, BX3's Arman "Phenom" Hanjani, Red Bull's Olivier "Luffy" Hay, Meltdown's Nathan "MisterCrimson" Massol, Benjamin "ProblemX" Simon, Jean-Baptiste "Will2Pac" Wilfried and Marcus "Packz" Parker.

A consolation shout out should be given to longtime fighting game veteran, Nuki. At one point, he was unstoppable in the loser's bracket, undeterred with his stellar aggression and footsie game.
