Colorado Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado is hardly the only top-10 hitter (based on ADP from ESPN.com live drafts) to have struggled in this truncated, irregular season, and perhaps there is a good reason for his career-worst .253 batting average and .737 OPS. He has been dealing with a sore left shoulder and, since the Rockies hold the slimmest of shots to qualify for October inclusion, that injury will likely keep him out of action for this final week of the season. While it is tough to view Arenado as a first-round pick in 2021, one has to wonder exactly how far he should fall.
