Fantasy baseball prospects: The tide is turning in Baltimore

If the infield of the Baltimore Orioles continues to underwhelm, there are plenty of Triple-A options ready to step up. Mark Goldman/Icon Sportswire

The ascending Baltimore Orioles organization actually have a winning record in June! They currently feature future All-Star catcher Adley Rutschman in the big leagues. Meanwhile, electric starting pitcher Grayson Rodriguez (although currently injured) is surely a fixture on dynasty league fantasy baseball rosters. He's likely to debut in 2023. Of course, that's not all the Orioles boast among enticing top prospects for fantasy baseball managers to dream about. Infielders Gunnar Henderson and Jordan Westburg are showing off their offensive skills at Triple-A Norfolk, each posting an OPS on the good side of 1.000.

Henderson, a day before turning 21 years old, hit for the cycle in Tuesday's Norfolk Tides win over Gwinnett. While that is impressive enough sans context, Henderson had three of those four hits against left-handed pitching. A lefty hitter who has struggled against same-sided hurlers, Henderson is now hitting .329 for the Tides with five home runs and 24 runs scored (with excellent plate discipline) through 19 games, after starring for Double-A Bowie. He is one of the youngest players in Triple-A.
