Each week, Eric Karabell ranks players by position based on their fantasy football value for the rest of the 2024 season. Use the information to optimize the players on your bench for their future potential or to gauge their value in trade. Eric's top 100 can be found below the positions in this column. QuarterbackRankings changes: The top 10 remains intact, with Chargers star Justin Herbert moving into prime position to enter the proceedings. Some may want the Colts' Anthony Richardson to return to that lofty range as well, but this is premature after just one successful game starting. In addition, the Colts are one of 12 teams that have yet to serve their bye week. Hey, every game matters. Pay close attention to upcoming schedule; the Rams' Matthew Stafford (fresh off another 4-TD game) faces the Eagles, Bills, 49ers and Jets among the next five, and the Browns' Jameis Winston (395 passing yards) gets the Steelers, Broncos, Steelers again and Chiefs. Yikes! Meanwhile, inconsistent Falcons QB Kirk Cousins, coming off his fourth single-digit performance of the season, notably drops to the edge of QB2 territory, while the Steelers' Russell Wilson sees his value drop as well after he failed to exploit Baltimore's secondary. At least they remain NFL starters. The Giants are going with backup Tommy DeVito over Daniel Jones, who probably has played his final snap of the frustrating season. It is hard to believe Jones scored at least 18 fantasy points in each of his first three road games this season. DeVito does not come recommended. The Giants-Cowboys Thanksgiving tilt should be a blast for all! Running backRankings changes: Eagles star Saquon Barkley pushes into the top spot over the Ravens' Derrick Henry and 49ers' Christian McCaffrey, but chances are that this order will change again at some point. The Jets' Breece Hall is back in the top 10, and the Rams' Kyren Williams, no longer the focal point of the offense, slips out. The Lions' David Montgomery and Bengals' Chase Brown deserve their RB2 status, the Vikings' Aaron Jones does not. The Chiefs are getting Isiah Pacheco back, but we should expect an initial timeshare. The Broncos appear to be going with a timeshare as well. Wide receiverRankings changes: Two Bengals, Lions and Rams were among the top WR scorers of the week, and this is reflected in the rankings. Rams stars Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua crash the top 5. Cincinnati's Tee Higgins joins the top 20, as does the Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba. The Buccaneers' Mike Evans is healthy enough to return to mid-WR2 range. Underutilized Eagle DeVonta Smith leaves the top 20. Jauan Jennings barely becomes the highest-ranked 49ers WR, and Jerry Jeudy gets the nod as the top Browns option. Tight endRankings changes: The Saints' Taysom Hill delivered the signature outing of his career in Week 11, with 41.52 PPR points, but he entered play averaging 8.5 points per game, so fantasy managers may not fully trust him. The Dolphins' Jonnu Smith, now No. 8 in TE PPR scoring, may be the safer choice. Several TEs struggled statistically this past week (Travis Kelce, T.J. Hockenson, Mark Andrews) or succumbed to injury (Dalton Kincaid, Sam LaPorta), but try not to lose patience.
